Bad Games Thread

Thanks Plague but maybe if they release VF5R lol. I feel really bad b/c I invested so much time into VF5 and remember playing it for hours and hours on end but now, it's just collecting dust and quite honestly, I don't feel the need to deal with all that nonsense anymore. As of now, I'm really enjoying the heck outta SF4. Lots of players and new faces all the time and so far, I haven't had any negative experiences at all with the SF4 community. Almost everyone I've come across has been really cool and helpful...not to say that the VFDC community is all bad. You, Neopanther, Blahzie, erdaug, social ruin, Slide, Turnepoid, Rare Entity, Marly Jay, True sonic, etc. come to mind as really cool peeps and I thank you guys for all the ggs I had. I'm always thinking how the VF community is doing though so every now and then I stop by just to watch videos and stuff. Nice seeing you guys again!

 

It's a pity you don't play anymore Tsua, you had attained very rapidly an impressive mastery of your character's strengths and weaknesses and i used to refer you to new Jacky players on xbox live as the player whose playstyle they should first try to imitate and master themselves. As far as VF5R is concerned, from the videos we've seen so far it appears that Jacky can roughly be played the same way as in VF5 vanilla so you won't have any trouble coming back whenever you like

I know and agree with what u mean though. I have thought real seriously about making the move to SF4. The biggest hurdle is that i just traded it in for UFC, but i'm thinking of trading it back. It would be nice to play a game with a more varied community, and maybe even avoid a community forum altogether, lol. But then at other times VFDC is a major reason i keep coming back to VF5. So i guess u just have to take the bad with the good.

I've thought if i go SF4 i'd like to play u tho, you were beast!

SF4 online is no different. In fact it's worse..
I see my brother play online everyday and the amount of funny messages he gets is hilarious.

Tekken 6 online is going to be fun as well

Surely if he really felt that way he wouldn't only view and post in this thread, Obviously he don't mind the negativity too much otherwise he would have viewed some other threads.

Hot-D(slash!). I think people are mainly coming online with the complaints to say (whats up with ya boy) I played him yesterday and he did some shadey shit . Not to say they are bad players in general( in some cases). It seems like everyone gets on this and take sides and the point fingers and stray away from the point. BUT THIS SHIT IS SO FUNNY.

On the contrary, I viewed the VF.TV thread and the GG thread as well. I just posted in this one b/c I agreed with what one poster said about people who immaturely complain and whine about mechanics of this game and put other players down.

That's the thing Feck...you assume too much and too negatively at that. You assumed that I only visited the BG's thread b/c I was only interested in negativity when in truth, I left VFDC because of it. Far as I'm concerned, you're the one who is guilty of misconstruing things here....not me. Also, why don't you actually try typing a nice post next time; if you're nice to folks, they'll be nice to you. Be an ass to them, they'll be an ass to you.

 

Any fighting game that has an online mode will inevitably lead to playing against players who only play either against the computer or the small group of people at their arcade where they dominate and think they're awesome because they can win against a machine or someone weaker than them, yet when they're beaten by someone else that they don't know (usually in simple ways they can't fathom), they start to whinge and moan about it. We've all probably done it at some point.

VF5 has them, SF4 has them, BB and XII probably have them, Tekken 6 is guaranteed to have them and any other fighting game with an online will have them.

BFeck´s post didn´t seem that hostile at first but I reread it and I see where it can be read as such... anyway, Yep, here I am, HotD, chiming in. One of the devils of VFDC. One of the reasons why you left. Can you count how many people from VFDC were being ¨hostile¨ towards you... now count how many positive, good or players who just didn´t give a fuck how you played and you will see that the good outweighs the bad.
But going from your original post, one would think that there are no complainers or whiners on the classier SF4 website. A place where only good natured players gather and they only give each other GGs *harp plays* I joke, I keed.

VFDC is one of the nicest websites I´ve ever visited or been a part of in my 20plus years of gaming. And still, people fight here because IT´S HUMAN NATURE.
But just like BFeck said, you leave and come back only to post in the BG´s thread and talk about how we complain too much.

Dude, strong players adapt and overcome. They might complain, bitch and moan sometimes but they don´t quit. They step up to any challenge. Not saying that you´re not good, cuz I realized that you are good... but only after I stepped my game up.
The best players in this game and any other game have complained and every body does at some point. Even the high and mighty Sirlin has complained about Tokido (I forgot how to spell the guys name) but he called him the cheapest motherfucker ever to play the game. Even Mr. ¨Do whatever it takes to win¨ has complained. So, how can this place be the worst...
Yeah, I´ve heard the best players here whine about how other players use 2P too much, backdash or run away too much, mash too much, blah blah and how this and that is the only reason why they win. This is normal. Most fight-game players are very competitive and a lot of them have an ego. Just ask JHow, lol.

SF is very different than VF in the sense that figuring out cheesy tactics that work is actually applauded more than frowned upon. Players who abuse 2P or DMPK online piss others off who are used to dealing with both better offline. That´s from a weaker players perspective, which I used to be. After I started figuring out the yomi game more I realized how wrong I was and how I coulda-woulda-shoulda handled it better.
Yes, Tsua, people change. People grow and they learn. That´s life. You either stick around to see it happen or you run away to a game where cheese and simpler tactics prevail. I love the SF series (except for 4) but when people win doing the same Vega or Balrog tech trap in SSF2T or the same fireball-shoryuken trap, other players don´t boo cuz that´s SF. If anything they look at the loser like ¨you should learn how to deal with that¨.
But for you to say that players don´t complain in SF4... maybe not to you, lol.

Tsua, it´s not about the stimulus, it´s all about your response. You chose to handle it the way that you did... but blaming the ¨bad guys¨ for making you leave when there´s more good than bad...
There has to be more than a few complainers for me to leave a game that I truly love.
Maybe you can blame VF´s complex throw escape system or maybe the fact that with a 2 qcf buttons and the press of a button you can do a combo that takes a lot of life or how VF doesn´t have 10hit plus dial combos and such. But to blame a few website members for your loss on a great game, well, that´s about as wrong as I was when I used to complain about one move in the whole game... and I was very wrong.

Well, good luck in the SF4 world. I´ve seen you play, you´re good. You always were.
