Teezed, the point is we DO want to PLAY the game but it's hard with you when it's NOT actually you y'know?

 

stomping.....good lord..

guys.. this is a GAME. you are not really being stomped irl. doing funny stuff after a win is perfectly fine, we are supposed to laugh at it. stomping can be viewed as a release from the player for maybe a few reasons:

frustration to the character (NOT you!). stomping makes the winner of the round have a little fantasy of finally beating you, or in the case of someone who has a long streak on you and clearly owns you, him stomping you is his right to do whatever he wants on your dead body, just take it....if someone needs to complain, it is the character (as if they would heh), NOT you. Unsportsmanlike conduct in a fighting game would be something like cheating (not possible in VF5) or cursing at you in the mic, NOT something as stupid as a virtual kick/punch to your dead body. are we THAT sensitive??? not only we dont like stomping...but celebrations / "dances" too?! cmon guys...

I swear one day someone WILL get into a real fight because of stomping, I believe the guys complaining have that in them, they will actually WILL fight you: scenenario: offline play, 2 guys hardly know eachother, winner keeps stomping / celebrating dancing, the loser doesnt like this and ask the other dude to stop, winner tells him "sorry but its a habit I like doing, its in the game anyway, YOU CAN DO IT TO ME if you want..", loser gets angry and shoves the stick up the winners nose". this can actually happen. this stomping business is way too fucking serious.

so fellas, remember, JUST TAKE IT. dont complain, and just fight, winners get to do whatever they want.

if you complain, you will now be labeled as a "STS" class player (Sensitive To Stomps)

Sudden_Death, consider me the first person to be labeled as an semi-STS player. I stress the semi part, because I kinda enjoy it when vfdcr's stomp me after rounds, I know sometimes it's accidents sometimes not, but we're just having fun and I do it back too even. When I see someone dancing as well I laugh out loud or when they jump over my dead body.

What I can't tolerate about stomping after rounds depends on WHO does it, If it's people I know it's fine by me, if it's idiots that I don't like, then I say fuck you to them. It's apparent to me who's being hostile about it and who isn't, I don't care if some people think "It's just a game who cares" I fucking refuse to be given disrespect from scum ass players, I'm proud to be a STS.

Shiny, I can tell you from experience that AdruptAddyPaddy and Darthminion are NOT the same person. Maybe AdruptAddyPaddy/Sir AddyPaddy (or something) and AloneRagingLion. There was also the Salva1996/yoonceagain fiasco back in the day for me -_- 'Sides, Darthminion's a tad more skilled than AddyPaddy

 

It's pretty much a rapport thing.

If you've got enough rapport with your opponent, you can do all sorts of things after the rounds and it's always in good fun and you and your opponent both laugh because that's what it's all about.

If you have no rapport or your opponent has something against you in the first place, it's not going to matter what you do, even doing absolutely nothing, will be taken the wrong way and offend.

 

Speaking of bad games, for a long time Ive dissed BDouble. But this guy does not run from any challenge. Gameplay wise he'll get it one day, I can see the baby steps that he's taking in the right direction.

 

KoC, I agree with you, I fought him a week ago and it was less laggy, and he still pounces after rounds, but he's improved some imo. He wasn't using the same 2 moves anymore and I could feel he's gotten better. Ironically I fought Quash's jacky the match after Bdoubleblade and frankly I was more impressed with Bdoubleblade.

 

judging someone's skill from one match is hardly sufficient (especially online).

if you wanna do it that way though, just remember who won that match.

lmao, i only play against jp players and people from here. and i've only been playing online for what, two months now? of course my ratio's gonna be low.

quit acting like rank on xbl means anything. i've taken down 10th dans and lost to 1st kyus.

 

The point is you can think whatever you want, all I'm trying to say is I've foughten both of you and Bdoubleblade was better in my opinion, there's nothing more to it, I don't mean any ill will towards you.

 

well that's great, but your condescending attitude makes it seem like you're in a position to judge when you really aren't.

if we were to play in person, you'd be eating a lot more zero frame throws and taking twice the damage off of my combos. i can say that with confidence because i've played people in person who make your bread and butter jeff look like a joke (renzo, sebo, etc.).

i am by no means an amazing vf player, but i'll be damned if someone who hasn't even played real players in person is going to publicly judge me based on one match we had online.

i wish no ill towards you either; i just wish you would use better judgement and realize that saying things like "$player is better than $player" is going to stir up some shit.

 

I'm sorry I judged you wrongly, my ratio wasn't that good when I first started too so I shouldn't be bringing that up, and I was acting like an ass too saying Bdoubleblade is better then you, truthly I know your better but in a rare instance Bdoubleblade wasn't laggy for some reason and you were laggy so that was going in my head. I'm sorry to piss you off like that, I'd be angry too if someone said stuff like that to me, I wish for us to forget this ever happened and carry on.

 

People have had fights in Japan over stomping. There's a reason why AM2 removed that shit..
