There's nothing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif about losing, ok? If I could just win, win, win doing the same crap and not learn a freaking thing, I would do it ALL OF THE TIME.

Plague, winning is all that matters. I don't want to "learn" (lol) I want to win! If I have to lose in order to learn then I'm not learning! Are you kidding me?! Losing is for losers, ok, and I'm a winner, ok. No, I can't be "OK" with losing the match just so that I can "learn" something, ha!
I'd rather mash my way to a win. After all, THAT'S what really, truly counts. Winning, not learning.

Everybody knows that Winning > Learning. So fuck that off with learning at the cost of losing.

Lol. Tony. So funny, but so true. My favorite part is " where only the best players like Bdoubleblade, Darthminion, TemplarioIV, Dextroverse and many others". haha. Any time you can you can put together coherent thoughts like "ONLY...and MANY others". Good stuff tony. I hope to one day be able to play like those elites.

As far as being OK with losing. I realized a while ago this is the single biggest hurdle i have to overcome to reach my potential. It is simply put, my achilles heel. It sucks, but i'm trying to do better with it.

Good grief, having my wisdom tooth removed was a pleasant, happy memory compared to those matches.

Keep away Wolf, 46P, DMP+K, 6PP and that's it. Grand total of 3 moves from an arsenal of 100's.
Crazy thing is, I was glad in a way because I always wanted to get used to this kind of Wolf.

I am trying to learn new moves; but a lot of times they don't come off when playing online. I stick with what works for me, which doesn’t always work because I get plenty of beat downs. I was able to do most of the moves with my character on VF2, Fighter Megamix, and VF3. I was playing the computer mostly because my friends didn’t like the game that much, so that could be the reason as well, never playing against a live opponent.

I never bought a Playstation 2 so I only played VF4 and VF4 Evo when I went to my friend’s house. To me the moves seem harder to master on VF4, VF5 and the dojo is definitely lacking too. There should be a feature to have the computer simulate the move, and then at least you would know if you getting close to completing the set moves.

Why do you get scolded for being repetitive? Do you do dmpk, beat knuckle, and back shuffle thingie ad nauseum?

Oh I thought it was my connection having problems last night, but it was XBL having issues.

I guess I can be kind of repetitive with the beat knuckle and punching low to set some things up but I’ve been trying to switch it up though. As for the spamming I see the so called elite’s spamming as well, there are times I’ll be winning and all they do is throw and ring outs to win. I don’t throw that much and it’s by choice, not because I don’t know how to.

 

Throw is a part of the game. If you are always standing there guarding, it's an invitation to get thrown. You should use them instead of setting up home made honor rules about throws.

B Double, ya know weve played hundreds of times Im shure, on all my accounts. Ive been waiting for you to show some improovement. If you have trouble with mooves then you maybe should invest in a stick. I think your biggest down fall is that you found a mix up that noobs cant figure out. But you need to switch up your offence and give people other things to think about. VF can be played many ways, so you need to come up with other techniques, watch the matches on the disc of Jacky and replays posted here.
Watch the inputs in fact so that you can understand whats happenning. Besides I forgive you for last night anyways.

 

Damn, I didn't know you was all those people...LOL I am on spring break next week, I am going try and check out some vids how others play with Jacko. I never been a fan of the stick even at the arcades just don't feel right to me. Is it that much better on the stick? Thanks for the info/input and playing me.

 

I would think the reason why people can't play VF too well, simply put: They don't understand the game. Especially with the new players, you can tell them they suck a zillion times, but if what they're doing works "online," how can you convince them otherwise?

I was playing a guy in ranked earlier who had a record of 800-300 and similar rank to what I had, so I was expecting somewhat of a decent fight. I basically pk, elbow, and threw him to death. On the 3rd round he pulled and I got called a scrub. He was the only player available at that time so I kept joining. He pulled in the 3rd round a grand total of 5 times. I decided to stop playing cuz I had to work.

My point is, maybe its our fault for not sharing. I do understand that most players (especially online) are too complacent to step out of their comfort and quit using their routine strategies. Hell, I didn't realize how bad I played until I sat next to adam and I realized "damn, he's gonna fuck me up and there's not much I can do about it."

What I'm basically saying, which is kinda synonymous to plague's post: denkai get off your lazy ass and give me a challenge. Cuz u know ill fuck u up.

Well my XBOX is in another room in my APT and then I wait for people to join my session. Then when they do I run back into the room where my xbox is.
