Bad Games Thread

I think everyone's gotten the "backwalk" treatment one time or another -_-

Damn, if VF wasn't so damn addicting I'd probably have been done with it along time ago. Oh, and I'm not ducking you WW /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif but the 1st/last time we went at it pretty much drained me. I gotta learn to keep better track of time.

 

Bad games to, well, anyone who gave me bad games in the last year and a month. Those who pull, keep joining in heavy lag (i.e. stutter, lots of frame-lag) just to abuse 2p and whatever else they can abuse, and anything else that most people consider 'bad'. The last one I can remember was a Jacky by the name of sraocha1 or something similar who pulled when I was at 10th and he was 1 bar from Defender. Was a demotion promotion for both, and he wasn't a bad player either, so was disappointing to see.

 

Bad games to some German guy called BlackX9 (IIRC).

No one in player so I checked ranked. Which, by the way, is the first time I've played ranked in months.

I find someone with 4 bars, the same rank as me, roughly the same win% and he had 500+ games played. All good, right?

WRONG.

Round one:

I shoulder tackle him. I shoulder tackle his whiffed rising kick. He techs and blocks. I P-K(cancel) and turbo drop onto wall. I get an excellent and BANG.

He disconnects at the end of the first round.

He then goes off and plays DOA4.

I was gonna follow him and get my Busa on but I didn't.

I'm better than that.

Right?

Yes. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif Yea screw people like that. They can have their DOA, we'll stick with a fighter that is actually based on skill and takes some intelligence to play.

Oh, and to CP. No prob dude, I never thought you were ducking me for a second. My stick is really crapping out right now so it might be a whack match anyway (just ask Coz).

But WAIT!! If it's ladies night at VF then where's Kristina? Does anyone know if she's any good at this game? I think the world may NEVER know -_-

I think for me DOA4's good for:

- Smashing with someone other than Aoi (usually have Tina vs. Lisa matches with an old friend of mine)
- Flapping my gums in the lobby and/or spectating

In other news, MY Hori may be conking out on me. I'm finding it hard to consistently do my normal routine. It might be that...or age -_-

 

man my hori is becoming more and more inconsistent. i hate that son-of-a-bitch. I wish i would have just stuck to the pad, and i wouldn't always be participating in my least favorite side plot: "is my stick or isn't my stick janking out on me?" By the time ur spending half of every round trying to figure out if ur stick is working properly or not, ur stick is shafting ya either way. Booooo janky hori's.

Speaking of Jon up Erdaug, I played that guy last night....after playing him, I understand why everyone hates Kage's DM P+K so much. Ugh, and then this guy would get beat down to the edge of the ring and then it was the battle of the clash, throw escape, and DMPK to see who would or wouldn't get thrown out of the ring. Then he joined my room mirroring me with akira, but that was just too easy punishing him then.

 

I broke a button on my new Hori in one week.
Gotta love this stick...

 

I think that is weak when someone suddenly joins as your character like they are gonna just do what you are doing. I get that occasionaly and am just like whaterer, i've been using lei for 6 months now, and WHAM its a whoop--ass-skii and they are done. : )
BTW this doesnt apply to people who want to play u using your main, but they are skilled with them and not just trying to mirror u.

 

Yeah, it was pretty weak but I gotta admit...I gotta kick out of counter hitting him with SDE and DLC him all over that stage over and over and over again. Dude never learned.

 

Y'all talking about folks whose asses you whoop and they come back as YOUR 'main?' Happened to me a bit while I was in Ranked...don't mind it so much in Players though. BG's to the WWE Royal Rumble last night. Kept me away from VF
