Bad Games Thread

This is a particularly touchy subject for me so I gotta say something. While I try to always give people I play against (and win) some rematches (unless it was laggy enough to be unenjoyable), I DON't want to stick around for a frigging hour just because somebody wants it. My time is my own, and I will play with people, but I dont want other people to decide how I spend my time. This is a game and there is a thing called real life. Its not disrespectful or anything, at least I dont intend it that way. I also get bored quickly by playing same person over and over. Thats why I prefer ranked online whenever possible.

This game is great because one match doesnt last too long, and I can sit down to play 1 or two matches while dinner is getting ready or whatever.

I wasn't referring to you I don't recall facing you ever and with the lag as bad as it is from the Eastern US to Finland I doubt I will get fair match with you. I fully understand what you say as well but if you face a decent foe at least some of your time might be worth it to keep playing them at least for the time being anyway. I would never expect 20 or more matches all the time that would be wishful thinking about 10 to 15 would be decent but that is up to the person offering the rematch. I never force it anyway I more often then not wait for them to press the button before I press to play the match so they don't feel it is being rushed.

My own personal experience with the N word:

I know where a lot of white people get a little irritated with a double standard on the word. But something to uderstand here as that black people don't get mad at the word just to get mad, or just because they can. It is actually a very hateful/hurtful thing to say.
When i was in colleg 2000-2006 i would play basketball almost everyday, and i'd play on the good courts. On the good courts there were players of all races, but primarily black and white in about equal numbers. About 5 or 6 times during the course of my basketball playing situations would become heated and a black guy would call me (a white guy) the N word. This offends me. I would say something to the direct effect of, "dont call me that. I would never call u that. Dont call me that its bullshit." And you know what? EVERYTIME i got an apology. EVERYTIME. This was from people who were mad at me, and we were getting angry with each other, and so on. Many of them would apologize again the next time they saw me. Why? They werent afraid i was gonna beat them up or get them in trouble, but because they knew it was hurtful/hateful and as soon as i identified myself as being someone who finds it hurtful/hateful they felt bad for saying it. Big point is. I don't think there is nearly the double standard with the word that is percieved. I think a lack of communication is what leads to these kind of assumptions.

I had a good few months where this was happening, no one was rematching at all and for some reason it got to me a little so I thought I when I get challenged by a new player, i'd wait for them to hit rematch before I did. Didn't work much though so now I just spam on the A button and let them give up whenever.

 

I am quite the opposite in the sense that I spend lots of time trying my best to teach the game to ALL who want to learn. Having said that, I by no means know everything or how to teach every technique. I do try my hardest to make it a pleasent experience and never try to sugarcoat what the learner needs to improve on. VF will always be a eternal learning process, but that's what is beautiful about it. If anyone needs help please look me up on live and we can train together.

again im not sure if it was my brother or one of his buddies but i agree that it was very juvenile and disrespectful. im almost positive it wasnt my bro. if he was there his friends would not have made those ignorant comments i am assured.

 

I don't know man, and I don't mean to sound rude but I'm tired of talking about it. As long as it doesn't happen again I'm fine, but I don't really care anymore. It's a new day and I don't want this mess stretched out any further than it already is, so let's just move on from here. If I play you again in the future, let's either just keep it at a ggs or no message at all. I've got more things to worry about like my wedding than mess like this, so I'm good. Let's just move forward.

 

Bad Games to alaska v. online play.

I can deal with the lag, and its annoying, but i can deal with lag causing my arrow punch 1p+k bounce combo not to work most of the time.

But really, 85% of everyone i play now struggles out of stagger in a milisecond. I'll have a 20% win kyus join and consistently stagger out of doku jab kick and spam punch through my follow up...ITS INCREDIBLE. Everyone bitching about all lei fei's staggers (me included when using other charactars) now karma is making me play without them.

I've played a lot of idiots since I started VF5 but the BIGGEST DUMBASS award goes to an El Blaze user by the name of WavingRoyd. This muthu-F-er for the ENTIRE match proceeds to back all the way up to the edge of the ring, waits until I get close to him, and then tries to throw me out. Never damn mind I'm crouching at the time...never mind I'm in the process of punting his sorry ass outta the ring but he/she just KEEPS trying the same damn thing. I mean this shit just surpassed ANYTHING I could've ever imagined. Horrible, just horrible man -_-

for somebody who seems to want to wave your finger at people for being rude you sure are an asshole.

 

I avoid follow people that try to bait me to ring me out or tossing me into a wall causing a stagger. I tend to have high walls most of the time that way no one will ring me out it an annoying fashion or getting a free win. Sometimes I enjoy doing a ranged attack like pai's running K to ring them out to make them see how annoying it is to be treated like that.

 

yeah i had this stuff recently, my shun vs another 6th Dan shun, it was close, although he didn't seem to have much a grasp of shun apart from P+G,8K+G and 1K,K( says much for my skills /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif )

and as soon as it was apparent I'd win he just turtle to the edges of the ring to time out.

 

If I were GodEater I would do the exact same thing you racist fucker.

 

lol. how is a ring out a 'free win'? unless you deliberately walk yourself out then there's nothing free about your opponent knocking you out of the arena.
