I thought Koedo Kage was the most impressive of all. Amazing variety in offense.

    agreed with Maddy:
Mishima Star was well versed in what to do per situation, you could tell he knew good and well what to do in any given situation. Against Leifei (the match up which Maddy and I have played a fuck ton), he handled himself like an Akira player should against Leifei. He even did things right against Itazan save for the wrong guesses, you could see he was playing the right games. Itazan was the 2nd most impressive, he knew better than most anyone I've seen in vid how to deal with Kage shite and he did things with a responsiveness barely seen among even the top players. Koedo was alright but it's nothing I haven't seen from him before. The Lau and the Lei got outplayed hardcore by Mishima so it was hard telling where they stood in it all.

Mishima Star is super-sharp, super-fast and responsive. I thought he was pretty exciting to watch personally.

no, on the real though, it's an "understanding of the game thing". He understands situations like madd, I dunno how you can say he has "P elbow offence actually bored me" because he was a madd efficient player. He wasn't like Minami Kage doing little more than P or low P. He understood the situations, played at a frantic pace, and to be perfectly serious, would prolly easily rape anyone that called him "boring". But feel free to call it an "Ohio thing", you honor us.

i never said mishima star was bad, i just said it was boring,
His play style is something ive seen time and time again and its not something exclusive to japan. You could even pallete swap his character with jacky or someone else, and itll look almost like the same thing. Its a proven way to increase wins, but thats why i dont find it interesting anymore.

Did I watch the same movie?

The two comeback rounds Mishima had to pull against Lau I thought were very impressive and far from boring. He was aggressive and went in for the kill. The P, crouch dash delayed Yoho to win the match was a very sweet note to end on, IMO.

I think Mishima Star played very different against Lau and Lei, as one probably should, so I'm not sure why you'd think Itazan just saw his "flowchart setup" and had him all figured out?

Again, unless I watched the wrong movie, I don't recall many, if any, "jab elbow" flow charts from Mishima Star.

PhoenixDth, sounds like your movie watching experience has jaded you. If you thought Mishima Star was boring, then I'm afraid I'll be putting you to sleep next month! /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have to agree, after watching the clips again, Mishima Star is great.

Recovering from elbow stagger into Shoulder, Yoho after guarded Single Palm->DE, trying to SPoD Magnum to end the chicken festival at the end of round 3. This guy has a lot of skill, and guts as well.

Alex, I think it's funny for you to comment on Jab--> elbow flows. I suppose everyone should aspire to use more creative and fun loving mix-ups like your Jacky's [P] -> [6]+[P] or [2]+[K] mix-up? Seriously, I saw you use [P], [2]+[K] four times in ONE round against Hat Brian when you thought you were going to loose. How about your [2]+[K] -> backdash flow? Gorgeous!

    Bryan
