    Well that's definately bad news...
Got an email from Amazon.jp today, but haven't translated it yet, guess I'll do that tomorrow.
Their order check page says they expect to ship it 30.10.-11.2 or so...

My order from www.jamall.com says it's on order now. I also placed an order from www.kinokuniya.com and it seems like they have processed my order already and will ship out through DHL. I may have read the email wrong. I'll update it when I confirm that it has been shipped. /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif

    Dear Erwin Tomas:

We were told from the publisher that the first 3000 copies were
gone in one day. Currently they have no schedule for reprinting
and are accepting no order till December.
We would say if you place an order every month from December
you might be able to get one of the first reprinted copy.

We are sorry for your inconvenience.

    Best,

My question is; is it worth it? I don't really intend to use Brad or Goh, but will it tell me enough about the other characters? I know it's hard to find...that's tempting enough...but is it really worth it?

It has a DVD with Chibita... 'nuff said.

hmmm...i 'spose the DVD is the main selling point, around 3hrs of direct-feed, top-level vf play is damn good in my book.

If you are planning on playing Goh & Brad than it has extensive sections on them. All the other characters get about 4 pages, with the last page showcasing standard combos.

I think Enterbarin made the right choice, cos the blue-book tells you enough, and this green book is just a logical extension.

Oh Catch22 nice Joystick! I'm planing on ripping up my old agetec DC sticks, do you reckon your ('Sanwa' was it?) sticks and buttons will fit into that case easily, or will base extension be needed?

Hurry up with the web faq /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

its perfect for it. They will be perfect fits. I was planning on doing that exact thing. Look on eBay though, those Agetec sticks are worth an arm and a leg.

In eBay what the hell should I search under to locate the Green Book. I' ve tried everything, but just keep coming up with "0 matches found". I'd appreciated it, if someone gave me a search string or something.

Search for "Virtua Fighter", the same guy I got mine from on eBay has two more up... but there's a $29 buy it now option... it may still be there. If you are a VF fan, you owe it to yourself to get the book ASAP.

actually, searching for "Virtua Fighter Green" is better, as you eliminate the tons of used VF4 PS2 copies on ebay that way /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

    Christ...

I just got an email confirmation that the Green Books are in stock at Amazon.com in Japan. Geezus... I just spent a good $38 on the book on eBay.

This must mean that the books are back in stock at Jamall.com also.

If you don't have this book... do yourself a favor...

I find the Perfect Guide to be a much better book, with more detail. The thing that really makes the Green Book worth getting is the DVD. But, you can just ask Creed on IRC for it -- I'm sure he has some reasonable quality AVIs/MPEGs of the two features now.

On a side note -- Videogameya (the person I assume you purchased your Green Book from) is very good at getting stuff out the door and in your hands as soon as possible. You'll get the book much more quickly through him than you would through Jamall, or Amazon (at least that's my experience with stuff being shipped to Canada).

    cheers,

I can definately second that one.
I bought the book of ebay during the weekend and payed by PayPal right away because videogameya had such a terrific rating 1000+.
He sent the book out on monday and I had it on wednesday.

The DVD in the Green Book makes it much more of a bargain to me. The book is cheaper ($15 ) on Jamall than the Perfect Guide ($28).

ZeroChan seconds the opinion... or she first mentioned this opinion on the first page of this tread.
