4 on 4 Tourney Match-Ups

Tim told me CP is busy with schooling and stuff.. so, i guess we would have to wait till he's done his schooling. or maybe we just forfeit then.

im busy as well, im not sure ppl can play around my schedual.

Ok, I'm just going to come out and say it. I don't think this self-scheduled match policy is going to work. There is just no way you are ever going to get eight people to agree to one single time. Especially if you're having to organize times via messages that the people might not even read for days after they get them.

I think what we need to do is just set a very specific time (like 9PM Central Wednesday), when people have to play their matches every week. If you can't make that time, you shouldn't join a team. If you do join a team and not show, your team has to try to win without you. And they can always kick you off if not showing becomes a pattern. I think this is really the only way there is even a chance that actual matches will happen.

 

No xzyx that sounds pants, it ruins the spirit of the competition and what kind of competition is it neway if ur playing a crippled team? If u pm ppl on xbl or vfdc then u should get hold of them if they're active. Then it is the captains job to liaise with other captains after asking their team what times they can play.

Would you be able to play mid-day on the weekend? Also, AssassinCP posted that he could play fri,sat,sun I think on the previous 4 on 4 thread. Can he still do this? How often is he on xbox atm?

 

Eh, well, all I'm saying is, it's been nearly a week since the time to play matches started, and as far as I know, not even a single match has been scheduled, let alone played. Even if you hate my idea, this thing could clearly use a bit more organization, in one form or another. In the mean time, I'm still waiting on Overfiend to contact me about when I'm available for matches, which was supposed to happen a couple of days ago...

 

The weird thing is that, it seems like you didn't expect there to be problems of getting everyone together when it came time to play...

 

I'm just seeing how it goes Slide and I'm doing this for the people. If they want to play then the onus is on them to make time for it.

Plus, there shouldn't be tht much of a problem. I've seen 20+ people all from different timezones turn up at the correct time to play in a COD tourney weekly, I even organized a couple of these dates myself.

I'm asking my people until when they can be online so i can give you a specific time. Actually my best guess is 22:00 pm for us, so it will be like 16:00pm for west coast guys. But, as i said, it's just my guess.

Mack couldn't do it, he's the team captain, he should have told you. I figured he would have, I found out he couldn't do it several hours before the match and organised my team accordingly.

Having captains means that they are responsible for their team. It's a middle man that's supposed to make the whole thing easier by distributing the pressure that would usually be placed on a single event organiser.

If you guys want another captain then do eet. I advise you talk about this between yourselves 'cause it's not an error on my part.

 

So, my team is already crippled. Retos1 and Dr Von Lee have to sleep right now (23:35 in italy when i'm posting this).
