i'm also considering the XFPS route for the 360 version as it offers a huge choice of sticks, some of which can be purchased at bargain prices on ebay.

people are claiming this convertor causes lag.....does anyone have any first hand experience or evidence of this?

i find it hard to believe a simple switching circuit could cause input lag that would be noticable to the user.

I'll just buy a 3rd party pad for 15€ and use the electronics in my current stick. I've modded my stick so that I can easily switch the electronics. ^-^

The xbox360 is now out in stores and online (gamestop.com). I bought it already, but got no games to test it on. It feels just like the other hori sticks for the ps2 (I have the tekken 4 hori stick and it feels just like it).

I have an XFPS and I've noticed any lag. I've used it loads, and never found lad to be an issue. If there is any lag, I don't think it it an issue. I've used my XFPS with a HRAP and other Hori PS2 sticks (T4, SC2).

The good: 1) it works well, 2) gives a great deal of choice for sticks
The bad: 1) expensive, 2) requires a wired pad (=more expense if you don't have one alread), 3) must use a wireless headset if you want to talk (even though a wired pad is required, you can't use its headset port).

For me it was well worth. I already had a wireless pad and wanted to keep being albe to use my HRAP. I haven't got the space to keep buying new sticks...

I recently pick up the Madcatz 3rd party pad for 360 (not to micro ones, the regular ones), I tried it out with Street Fighter II on PC.
Hadoken's and Shoryukens come out great, the D-Pad is way more acurate than the 1st party MS Pad, so I am now ready for VF5 for 360.

So anyone interested in picking up a 3rd party controller with a better D-Pad, the MAdcatz is bettr than MS's

I read an online manual for the XFPS 360 and it said you can't map any of the PS2 controllers/sticks buttons. Or something along the lines of that.

Does this mean if you're using a PS2 contoller/stick you can't customize the buttons to your preference for whatever 360 game you may be playing?

I just recently bought the XFPS 360 for use with the PS2 dual analog, and I had major lag with the new VF5 demo. Akira's double jump kick would not register half the time due to it not picking up the 2nd kick fast enough.

Stay FARRRRRRRRR away from this POS.

    Damn, all hope is lost:p.
    So what's next?
Do you think that they ll give us more options upon the release of the game?

So Soi says that XFPS is good while Mepaphoros says that it sucks.
    WTF?
Guess that we need more feedback.

Soi used it for PS2. It might just be laggy with 360. Option left is to mod Hoori sticks or mod VSHGs.

All the reviews I read for the XFPS said that it worked well with the dual-analog, but not well with a mouse (laggy).

I trusted the reviews and bought it exclusively for the PS2 dual-analog, and it is not usable. Maybe I got a bad one, but it was brand new from Playasia. It didn't work well with the dual-analog, so I'd have to assume it's even worse with a mouse.

Well I'm getting my Hori stick today, I'll be waiting for some progress on getting a VSHG to work on Xbox 360.

Seems our only bet is to get the Hori stick, and as Zero mentioned, wait for modding progress to occur with turning that stick into something better or turning the VSHG into a 360 stick. Or maybe we'll get lucky and a VSHG'll come out in december.

My 360 VSHG is currently on it's way, shipping here. UPS tracking says it will be here next Tuesday (my modder was cheap and shipped it ground... does a job for "free", then skimps on my shipping).
