    I'll be there.

Would like to share a room with someone, asked on the IT forum but received no answer.

I still play on that PS3 pad, I think the tournament will run on 360s and I don't have adapters. I'll solve this maybe... can anyone help me?

Don't think the console it'll be run on is set in stone yet.

Do we bring our own controllers?

I'll be back in the country by then, so I'm in too.

And I'll be shaking Rory's hand to stop him from overestimating my grip strength. And break his hand so there's one less problem for me to deal with in the tournament.

I am aiming to be there. I have much lower threshold to travel to London than other places, Finnair flies there straight and I've been to London several times already.

Now I am kind of happy I skipped Cannes, since I don't have unlimited money to travel. But I am better off money-wise than at the start of the year, and things that I was unsure of are getting more finalized (like big renovation that is going to force me to move from my apartment 2014 etc stuff like this). I aim to be at Sega cup Europe. I hope I can get Combolammas to come as well.

ps. Lol at your sig, Krye!

pps. @Pana: DEFINITELY find out a controller you can use on xbox early! It is not a trivial matter to think that "yeah I will play xbox pad then (that I never play otherwise)" or "I am sure someone will loan me a converter". I recommend to figure out a xbox controller or ps3 -> xbox converter that actually works as soon as possible. Unfortunately I cannot help with this, I have a strong prejudice toward converters though. Ive seen some really weird shit with them.

Yeah I only said that in case I was off on some fabulous, exotic holiday somewhere ha ha! What the hell; I'll be there! :D I'll prioritise this!

Lot's of time to practice too. I won't enter the tournament but surely I need to represent in the casuals.

Surely it should be PS3 since the Xbox pad is widely known to have a terrible d-pad for fighting games.

Very few people will play on pad. Unfortunately I doubt it will be a consideration when deciding console.

I'm going to look into converters, just in case.

    Please look for converters.

As to what console, I think the PS3 wireless controller issue is a real one. (Somebody at the back at the room just happens to press PS button and the tournament match gets paused, that kind of thing). I would personally maybe prefer Xbox for that reason, but in such a case please look for couple ps3->360 converters.

In general though, I think there are more ps3 players in Europe than 360 players, due to PSN being free and Europeople being cheapskates. But needing converters to play ones own controller is the same issue even for sticks..

If it is on PS3 i'll be asking for wireless controllers to be banned for that exact issue.

What type of converter did Kingo use at WCG? seemed to work pretty well.

I remember someplace breaking down their ps3 pads and removing whatever goes for battery inside them, so they only work with USB-cables. That might be something to consider.

Wait... how does it work? I've never been to a tournament before. Do they not just have consoles set up which people can just sit down and play? Seems like a huge mission if people are going to be disconnecting and reconnecting controllers each time...

Yeah thats the thing, you cant really control or look over that in a large room where people are playing casuals at the same time as tournament is going on. THe only way to do something about the wireless issue is control all pads at the same time, ie. ban wireless ones, or something similar.

Looking at flights in London area. Which airport is the best to arrive at? There are 4 listed: London City, Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted.

London guys say whichever is cheapest, travel down there is pretty easy so any of those 3 will do. From looking around on google maps Stansted seems closest to the venue.

EDIT: Hotel wise it might be wise to look at central London, travel will be easier.

If we have a large group of people going, and we all want to meet up and have casuals, Central London would be wise. The St. Pancras area to be precise. It's near one of the main stations in the city, there are plenty of hotels, it's not hard to get to most places in London you may want to go to, and the venue is pretty easy to get to, i.e. Kings Cross to Enfield Chase is a 25 minute train journey, and then a 10 minute walk to the building, and trains should be running until just before midnight on the way back.

Also, it's easy to get to St. Pancras from the main airports. Just go with whichever is cheapest.
