I agree, these fan arts are really good looking.
One thing that I learned from this BT is that even the best players mash 2P with insistence, there is really no reason not to in vf5fs.

Can you give an example? I only saw top 4, but didn't see much in the way of 2P mashing.

I need this so bad. They were sold out when I got there. As soon as someone knows how to get them please post. It had player names listed for every team which was super helpful. I didnt get to get through the whole thing but it was high quality as most things are in Japan.

Not suprising at all because he was doing the same Friday night. I said hello and tried to convey he was one of my favorite players to watch but he left the arcade before I got a chance to ask for a picture.

I can vouch for this from my experience of watching many players here. Its a common misconception that 2p spamming is a scrubby western tactic only but they do it here too. If it works why not use it. Its part of the game. It reminds me of SF2 in the 90's when people got mad when you threw constantly. I already spam 2p as it is so I must be on the road to greatness lol.

Anyone who complains about the 2P most likely has trouble dealing with it and, therefore, is not in a position to have their complaint/opinion taken seriously.

There were plenty of 2Ps thrown about, even in succession, during the BTC but there were also plenty of whiffed 2P setups/punishes (just check out Kubinashi Raider's Lei!) on display as well. For new players who over use 2P as a crutch, it can make the game look unpleasant to the casual observer, such is its poor aesthetic. However, I never once thought the games during the BTC degenerated to such a level.

For any newcomers, or those who want a refresh, it might be worth reading: 2P, or not 2P?

Such a great set of matches. It's crazy that the first match was against Itoshun, who was very much in the running to win that game. But what a great run it turned out to be...

Also random thought, what was with everyone picking the City stage? I reckon 3/4 of the matches on stream were on City, do the players love wall combos that much?
