I've never noticed any need for delays with 1P+K. If you hit a bit further away (not on the first frame) you can do 1P+K, 2P, 9K+G, 33P,K on...
The peeps with a 14f guaranteed on recovery string get ~50. The guys who got combos out in ver.C still do with buffed up combo damage...

Jeneric hit the nail on the head. You want to beat a throw with no-clash, go for 9K+G.
I didn't play Wuming as far as I remember. I played the other Lei.
Those games could have used a load more everything. I'm not going to make any more excuses than saying I ain't got tournament nerves, haha.
There is no extra frames included whatsoever to doing standing moves from crouched position.
