The fans hyped themselves up for that. I was there when that happened.

I'm more mad that we're stuck with Tekken. At least VF and DoA, allows you to beat 20 frame sweeps with a clearly faster mid. Everything crushes in Tekken and everyone hits buttons. Scrubs can do 50% combos, no effort. It's 1 or 2 mixups at the wall, boom KO. Tekken makes no sense. "Got launched?" Should be a new campaign.

But there's nothing for Sega to say:
If VF is planned for development then they won't blow the reveal until it's ready anyway.
If it's not in development what do we gain from them saying "No plans right now". They'll never flat out say "We're never ever making a sequel"
