CONT: I'm not only talking about your own either, I know that's important because of half circulars. How often if at all do you check your opponent's foot stance? If you do, how important of a skill do you think it is?
For brad, foot position is really important for optimization. I like to check frequently, but whenever you do a "small bound" move in a combo, its really easy to check
i'm not a pro, but usually I check foot stance 2 seconds before i do a launcher, also i check opponent's stance for punish charge attacks like Akira's 2,6 P+K and it's nice if you want to evade Akira's rising kicks too!
1) After I landed combo starter where I have (usefull) stance-specific combo 2) before throwing if escap can potentially ringout me or opponent 3) When looking for half-circ to beat expected evade, to know what move to use.
But take it with bit of salt, I am not VF god at all
I usually check it when I'm doing combos, when I'm going for a set up, or if my opponent evade happy I see check my foot stance so I can use my strongest circulars. I should focus a lil more on it though. As for checking my opponents I usually do it a few times a match if I don't forget, would've put this first but I didn't see the rest of your question.
I usually check it if I am Sarah & fighting someone like Akira's weight. If I do 7K on Sarah's glutes side (Southpaw stance) I can always get the 4K+G bound. So I tend not to throw out that move in Othrodox
Always. In combo or when i wanna evade. It s really important, u should practice it to make it become a habit...
