My friend said that no one can cheat on XBox Live. Is this true? Just seems hard to imagine and I would like to know. Anyways I've had it with the scum on SOCOM cheating and I'm not dropping another $50 on SOCOM 2 which is going to go to hell in a matter of months from glitches and cheating.

    Thanks

You can't cheat as in wallhacks and stuff - this is because you can only run Microsoft signed code on your XBox, unless its chipped.... and if its chipped, XBox Live will ban that XBox forever. Glitches maybe, cheats - no.

Yeah you can cheat on XBox Live. You can abuse glitches in the game. For instance in MotoGP you used to be able to crash into a wall, be reset on the other side, and get a faster than possible lap time. Also in CVS2, people will disconnect during a game they are going to lose so that their stats won't take a hit. Find a Socom 2 message board to figure out the specifics of how to cheat in that game.

You shouldn't necessarilly let it stop you though. The friends list on XBox live is great. If you have a bunch of good people on your list you can join games with them and be less likely to have to deal with random cheaters.

They can patch glitches on XBOX Live can't they?

But its awesome XBOX Live can't be hacked like SOCOM 2 is.

Guess I'll have to switch to the box /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif I wish Live had an interface like SOCOM or Battle.net. Thanks for the info guys

These sound more like faults with particular games. If someone disconnects in Topspin, the other player is rewarded with the win. As a result you hardly ever get people quitting games. Don't know why more games don't use this simple system.

I don't mind online games but I hate it when u get those really cocky ppl on there that think they're god and all. Start calling u a Newb and crap like that. I mean think about it, we were all Newb's once in every game.

Thing I dont like about Xbox Live is this:

In an arcade if someone gets rude *smack*
Xbox Live - you cant do nothing but screw about it.

Yea I'm with you on that. I've never encountered so many pathetic assholes in my whole time playing on PS2 or XBox online than I have in 5 minutes of playing Counter Strike for the PC though. After a year and a half of playing I straight up quit because I couldn't stand the people that play it anymore
