what vids would i want to show someone to get them interested in VF4?

trying to get someone that doesn't even know what system the game is on to play it.

 

Vids with sharp quality/color/resolution, good and not boring gameplay, and lots of flashy stuff like hit throws, backstagger combos, etc.

Off the top of my head: Beat tribe clips have excellent players and are the best quality video-wise. http://beat-tribe.com/vfr/ is the url.
You can also see lots of flashy throws and stuff in any clip with Goh or jeffry. Find a movie with sarah's 270 throw or Akira's spod. Or a pull-in throw, RBC combo.

I made a little kyasao tribute, and one for chibita. If you can explain a tiny bit about what's happening, they show some really great mindfucks.

Get your friend on IRC (efnet, #vfcity, message CreeD) and I can find good stuff and send him movies directly.

 

The Ohsu vs Mukky match on the greenbook dvd. SPoD out the ring in R1. Revenge SPoD in RD3 & Ohsu's hilarious taunting between rounds. If this doesn't get them playing, I doubt anything will.

 

Yeah, the Green Book DVD is certainly one of the best collections of matches out there. It also show the great structure that exist in Japan for VF and the commentator is really hilarious /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
