Anyone else ever have the issue where their screen just goes black for about 2 seconds? Its as if the PS3 stops transmitting a video signal... I use HDMI.

Another thing... anyone else find it a pain in the ass having to go through FIVE confirmation screens just to load the damn game? It should load the HD files and the memory file automaticaly! Its not like you will ever choose not to load them...

Shang had a thread where if he forced the game to display at 1080p, it would reset to something else, in way similar to what you're describing.

i agree going through a million screens just to get to the dang main menu of the game is such a unnecessary pain.

Well its not being forced... my PS3 is set to 480p, 720p, 1080p... a game can play on whatever it feels like running at.

We would be playing for hours, and then all of a sudden the screen will blank for 2 seconds.

Yeah I've had the same problem. About two times the screen went blank for a few seconds. One time the game just froze and I had to reboot.

This problem happened over the weekend of the Feb 24th at Brisal's. The screen would flicker or the usb connection would drop.

sometimes when i startup the game, at the part where they ask me if i want to use the hard disk data, and i click yes, the screen becomes black almost as if its loading buti dont see anything else after that for like forever. So i just hold the ps3 button and go back to the Ps3 menu and retry again /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

  10. This happened to me once, but then went away. It was the exact same thing; I have no idea what it is though.

I agree having it seems like you have to push a dozen buttons to get the game is a bit much.
One strange thing that I had happen was the controller stopped giving input signals to the CPU. I was wireless at the time.

Unsure--probably also from China. But it's not a big deal; it's only happened three times.

The blackout so far has only happened once...

I just dont want it to happen during a tournament.

I got the Japanese version on a US system, and the game went black twice yesterday while playing on 2 seperate occasions. I thought it was the hdmi cable also, but it wasn't loose or anything. Yesterday was the first time it's done that. It just goes black for a couple of seconds then returns to normal. Not that big of a deal, but I guess in a tournament that could really mess things up.

Guess we'll just have to play tournies on SDTVs /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I think it's part of the HDMI bug that has happened to a few people. Sometimes the digital handshake "breaks" and the screen will blank for a couple of seconds. The problem can get much worse though.

It might be best to use component for tourneys if you want to run in HI-DEF.

I've had the image blackout problem once; US version game on a US PS3, over HDMI.

It indeed seems like a handshake issue. Jide, when you say that the problem can get much worse, what exactly do you mean? That it eventually escalates? If so, that would be really unfortunate.

I've always thought that enforcing HDCP for games on the PS3 over HDMI was a bad idea. Maybe this problem is related.

The PS3 is HDCP compliant? crap... I guess I wont be doing any PS3 HDMI video capturing anytime soon... Why would they enforce HDCP/AACS on a video game anyways?
