Much like last year, you can participate in the league from anywhere in the country! Simply find your local FGC and play the game! You'll be assigned points for Round Robins or Tournaments; the more entrants you have, the more points you can win. See where you stand on the national rankings at

If you want to experience the Virtua Fighter Differenceâ„¢ and play the most balanced fighter out there, with easy to learn but super deep mechanics, then look no further. It's the 25th Anniversary of the franchise this year, and a perfect time to join the very friendly community.

We've got lots of new players already, and lots of vets who are more than willing to teach a new player the ropes.

Need help finding your local Australian FGC?

That would be really cool, @Jason Elbow Thanks so much for the offer!
If you'd like to do something earlier, maybe we could do something for OHN this year? That's the Australian National in Sydney, and easily the biggest VF tournament of the year for Australia :) Usually held around Sep/Oct.

Archives are up from yesterday's WAR GAMES.
Starts with casuals, then moves into the elimination match at 47m 20s.

Good mix of old and new players who are trying the game out for the first time.

Hey fight fans! Virtua Fighter returned to Sydney last weekend with our annual WAR GAMES battle! Video starts with some casual matches, but the elimination battle starts at 47m
      https://youtu.be/QjS-aWYAyrc
We had a great showing with some brand new faces joining the fold, and doing quite well for themselves, might I add!
Big thanks to JumboJ1m and anime TO extraordinaire Dennis! Although I was surprised you chose Lion instead of Eileen/Miku.
Also great big thank you to Dejan for making his appearance at YSB again, and for having a really hype match with Sydney's own Vincent!
It's great to see how much everyone improved since they started playing, and to see some new players try the game out. I hope you had fun and stick with it, because next week VICTORY ROAD starts proper, with our first tournament for the year!

YSB is back for March, and it's time for the first Virtua Fighter tournament of the year! Let's kick off 2018's VICTORY ROAD with a bang!

Last month we had an awesome team battle where we had some promising new starters, inter-state visitors and old hands going hard at the game. I can't wait to see what happens in a tournament!

If you're interested in a game with impeccable balance, incredibly deep and rewarding gameplay and that is easy to learn with a great community, then look no further! We have plenty of players of all skill levels so it's easy to jump right in! The best part is that the VF community keeps track of all Australian players and awards ranking points. You can see how you're improving over the months, form rivalries and battle for the top positions!

We'll be streaming the entire event at our twitch channel:

Hey there fight fans! I've got some very cool news to announce for Virtua Fighter Australia!

I'm very proud to announce that thanks to Sega UK, we have some awesome prizes to give away for our Virtua Fighter tournaments!

That's right, we have two copies of each of the below games on PC:
      • Sonic Adventure 2
      • Bayonetta
      • Vanquish
      • Crazy Taxi
      • Virtua Fighter 2
As an incentive to new players, each player will only be eligible to win once so why not put in some extra practice and try to win a free game? Stay tuned for more details on how to win one of these great prizes!

Don't forget, last weekend also saw our first tournament for the year!

      Check out the footage here:

And of course, the league has been updated! Jihoon has now moved up to third place, behind Chill and Yours Truly! Some incredibly close matches, and some wild comebacks in last weekend's tournament, please do check it out!
      Results and league are here:

Virtua Fighter Australia returns on April 14 at YSB, and this time with some prizes to win, thanks to Sega!

YSB will be held at 99 York Street, Sydney NSW.
Event starts at midday, and VF will start at 2PM.

A Steam game from the below/pictured list will be offered to the highest placed entrant at the tournament who meets the following conditions:

      - Is not in the top 6 on the Victory Road Leader-Board

      - Has not won one of these prizes previously

      - Has participated in at least one prior Victory Road event this year.

Considering we have ten games to give away, that's a lot to go around for both returning and brand new players alike!

      Victory Road Prizes 26.03.2018.jpg

So if it's just playing the game a little more, or putting in some time in training mode, (or both!), or even trying it out for the first time; why not help your chances to win one of these prizes by sharpening up your skills?

The full list of prizes once again is 2 copies of each of the below to give away:

      Bayonetta

      Vanquish

      Sonic Adventure 2

      Crazy Taxi

      Virtua Fighter 2 (Mega Drive)

Who will be the first to win!?

And if you're outside NSW but want to get involved in Victory Road, just let me know and we'll see how we can help :)

      Hello there fight fans!

April 14th saw YSB host the latest edition of the Australian Victory Road circuit. This month was the first month where prizes were available (courtesy of based Sega UK). We saw some interesting play from our tournament entrants in order to capitalise on the opportunity this presents.

Again, to win the prizes you must:
      - Not be in the top 6 on the Victory Road Leader-Board
      - Not have won one of these prizes previously
      - Have participated in at least one prior Victory Road event this year.

We saw players experimenting with characters they are unfamiliar with, as an option select: if they win, business as usual. If they lose, they can drop points and shift out of the Top 6 to win a prize!

Check out the archive footage! Apologies for this; we'll be back to our usual quality production next time.

The league table has been updated too. Check that out here: https://virtuafighter.com/rankings/victory-road.9/league

Some movement this month; Toto moves up a position after his 4th place finish. Hewgoe moves into 9th.

In the end, strong regular nalyD] ended up beating Hugo in an exciting play off match to take home the prize! One of the copies of Bayonetta has now been claimed!

Now the final piece of the puzzle...is you! Played other 3D fighting games, and are curious about another style? Heard about Virtua Fighter, but are a bit intimidated? Or maybe you just like the way the game feels and want to learn more? We want to hear from you! We'll help you get up and running and you'll be winning prizes in no time.

Now as May 18th-20th approaches, we are all excited for BAM10! Hope to see you there!

Hey fight fans! Another great YSB wrapped up on Saturday, and with it another round of Virtua Fighter VICTORY ROAD!
Thanks to everyone who joined, and congratulations to Dejan Stantic for being our second winner of the Sega Europe prize!
We still have 8 games to give away, so keep participating! Nobody can win twice!

Big, big thanks to Battle Kat Bunker for the pot bonus of $100! Cannot wait to check out the venue in June, hope you'll all join us!

Congratulations to Jihoon and Nim for taking 1st and 2nd place, with myself in 3rd.
