VF5FS/US/REVO Online Rank Titles

Last updated - February 5, 2025. Added the Novalord/Choukoushin and Dreadlord/Genmeishin rank to the list and level # shown in VF5US/REVO. Note that VF5FS also had Choukoushin and Genmeishin ranks, but no one ever legitimately achieved those ranks in the game. Requirements to achieve those ranks were made easier in VF5US and likely VF5REVO. There are some graphic differences between VF5FS rank titles and VF5US/REVO. Except for level 45-46, graphic description is for VF5FS version. Note: The English rank names in console are not literal translation of the Japanese ranks.

It appears the ranking system is based on the arcade FS ranking system (which with the console release appears to be getting an adjustment of some sort). Listed is the known ranks from arcade (24 named ranks to achieve, no branching) and the English equivalent that have been gained so far in the console version of the game. Note: the English rank names in console are not literal translation of the Japanese ranks. As people get higher ranks, please post it here so that we can update the list. Thanks

In the arcades - 10th Kyu to 10th Dan were all obtainable by playing single player modes. This is different from past Virtua Fighters. That is likely the reason why in the console version you cannot lose the Hunter rank - because the hunter rank is where the true promotion/demotion matches begin.

 

Thanks. When people post the new ranked names can you also mention how may red dots are under their name?
