VF5 tournament in Helsinki, Finland august 7.2009

Assembly 2009 tapahtumassa Hartwall areenalla järjestetään
Peliliigan toimesta jälleen sponsoroitu Virtua fighter 5 kisa (xbox 360).

Ilmoittautuminen päättyy perjantaina 07.08.2009 18:00. Turnaus on todennäköisesti heti perään Peliliigan alueella. Paikan päälläkin voi tietysti ilmoittautua ennen turnauksen alkua. Osallistuminen on ilmaista mutta Assembly-alueelle päästäksesi pitää maksaa vähintään Assemblyn kertalippu joka on suolainen 35€. Sillä toisaalta pääsee sitten näkemään kaiken muunkin mitä assembly tarjoaa.

Palkinnot ovat

2. 200€
3. 100€
Palkinnoista voi olla suurikin osa tavarapalkintoja. Kuulin huhua että ykköspalkinto tosin olisi ainakin silkkaa seteliä.

Mutta kokemuksesta arvaisin että ne menevät osapuilleen näin:
Omaa ohjainta voi käyttää (autofiret ja makrot kielletty).
Dural on bannatty.
Lifebar on standardi 200 pistettä.
Erät paras viidestä (kolmeen erävoittoon)
Keskinäinen ottelu paras kolmesta pelistä (kahteen pelivoittoon)
Turnausformaatti: todennäköisesti double elimination. Tai sitten sama karsintaryhmien kera riippuen osallistujamäärästä.

Sponsored VF5 tournament(xbox 360) in assembly 2009 event on august 7th 2009. Organiser is Peliliiga, and the tournament will be held at Peliliiga's booth/site at Assembly. Prizes:
1. 400 euros
2. 200 euros
3. 100 euros
Participating is free, but to enter the venue you must pay at least the standard Assembly ticket which is 35 euros. Tournament registration closes on friday 6pm. You can register on site before that. Preregistration (in finnish) using Peliliiga's system .

 

Change: the tournament starts at 16:00 (4 pm)

We have vids, I don't know when I will be able to capture them though because the drivers on my pc are messed up. Or something else is messed up.

 

Some videos available, not many filmed during the early stages since player level was pretty poor. Me and Combolammas were pretty much the only regular VF players of the lot.

ps. I had to play all matches except the grand final with an Ex2 because my friend who had my modded stick for fixing couldnt make it to the venue earlier.

 

Man, watching the grand final vids got me hyped for Amsterdam!

Combolammas! Your Lau needs more 66p+k! Also, you could use some more lame sweeps in there , one of the most frustrating moves there is for the opponent!

 

Those games could have used a load more everything. I'm not going to make any more excuses than saying I ain't got tournament nerves, haha.

 

Well Im not too happy about my play either.. I couldnt be bothered to think how much what was - on block so I just used throw to punish everything. I also overused the catch mainly to psych my opponents out than anything. I thought he'd escape the 0-f throw in the last round.. I didnt crouch any f+PP's. I block df+P+K, what do I do? b,f+P+G... lol

But to quote a guy who said this with a wink and a grin:
"If you win, you've played right"

ps. It took me several years to get the 'tournament nerves'.. They will come to you in time if you keep playing

pps. Imo you played better now than last year

ppps. I just noticed something fishy in the videos, Wuming could not have lost 3 matches in a double-elimination tournament. I think one of the Leis was somebody else.

 

I didn't play Wuming as far as I remember. I played the other Lei.
