VF5 + Cincinnati Ohio! Anyone? *cricket*

Ya hey,

Just joined the boards after lurking for awhile.

I did a search for Cincinnati threads, but didn't find anything off hand. I know there are alot of Cleveland and Columbus players which is very cool, but how about Cincinnati players?

My good friend just bought a PS3 for pretty much just VF5. We are psyched. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

We were also hoping to gather some other players from around here for some gaming. Anyone around? UC students? NKU students?

Ah damn, 2 years ago I lived up there.

Im currently in KY...I plan to comeback someday or at least travel later on. (I'll be in Cincy alot I do feel)

But Im not doing any VF'ing until the 360 version or if I get some early hands on via PS3.

place called "Gamejunkie" in West Chester I used play Console SC2 at for tournies and stuff. If you can generate enough interest with the regulars with VF5 then they may hold tournies.

Their current Tourney calender is full, but by the time the 360 version hits IF your still into VF then get enough interest behind you guys and show up. GJ is a "Prove to us" place, and by proving to them the game brings in crowds then it should have staying power (SC2 survived multiple seasons and brought in out of towners)Their prizes...kinda lame. First Prize is usually cash, 2nd and 3rd are in store credit.

Rekano, I wouldn't be suprised if I met you. I've been up to GameJunkie several times and although I never played in their tournaments, I've gamed with alot of the people there. I remember playing a few rounds of SC2 with one guy in particular that was telling me about the tournaments. He also mentioned being into snowboarding I think?? Anyway, if your ever in town you should swing by for some rounds.

Rasputin, a local cool! My friend lives over in Oakley and I'm in Eastgate, not too far away. We're thinking about getting 5-10 people together on a few weekends for VF5. I'll let you know once we get the game. Do you usually just play against the cpu or do you have any friends that play as well?

Back in the day I had friends that played but we all got married and had kid(s). I just started getting back into evo after I bought a ps3 a few months ago. I am originaly a west-sider but moved to mason 5 years ago.

I'm the aformentioned friend of Kristoff /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Just thought I'd stop in to say hey. hopefully we'll be kickin up some VF5 in town here. Got another guy who works at the Gamestop off of Ridge Ave who is really into VF so hopefully we can get some good gaming going on cincy style.

 

I know I am a little late, but I am from Cincinnati(Norwood to be exact). Anyone playing VF5 at all?

 

Wondering if the 360 version brought any newcomers to the Cincinnati scene...
