Just got an e-mail from Sega Europe Amusements...

    "Hi

VF5 Arcade is available for purchase in August.

Would you require it for home use or for an arcade?

    "

I will check to confirm what version it is. Now it's time for Casino(UK arcade) to get it!!!!!

$1500 is not bad. I'm a pinball junkie so VF5 will be a steal under $2500 compared to a new table.

(No, I don't own anything cool like that, but a man can dream, eh?)

Uh.. Isn't a VF5 machine like... $10,000 to lease and $40,000 to buy?

If they charge that much for no VF.NET/VF.TV/Character Cards they are super gay.

Facts people facts no assumptions. Just give us numbers on how much each unit would cost individually. An amount for: the VF.NET, VF.TV, the actuall arcade machine, the character cards, and the combined amount of all of them.

Sorry I forgot to put the price here...
    It's not pretty

    # It will be version C
    # There will be a card reader on the cabinet
    # It is not possible to connect to VF.net
    # Price would be £5,495 plus VAT plus delivery

Price for the whole kit. I'm enquiring to whether the board+game can be purchased separately.

From the pics that were posted of the London stand-up cabinet, it's just one screen with the players side-by-side. Standard NA set-up.

WTF, if there is no VF.net what good does a card reader do? Is it just for win records?

Blah, I want VF.net, bums at Sega. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

A single screen standup is really selling for roughly $11,000? What company in their right mind would purchase that?

It's still miles better than no card reader!

You can still keep track of your win/loss record as well as have ranking battles (which amplifies the intensity of any match by 1,000%!) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

If you've been to Japan and created a card there, you can still use it on machines that aren't connected to VF.Net.

Or if you go to Japan some day, you can take your card with you, money and prizes intact, register an account on VF.Net and assign that card to your account.

Still, for how much they are charging us. You figured they freakin give us just a little extra. I'd love to experience the real deal with VF5 without having to go to Japan for once. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif

When I was looking for VF4 in the arcades, the local Dave&Busters mngt told me they don't have fighting games... has this policy changed, or was it just with my local store?
