VF4 PS2 won't start up-Help!

last night I strtaed up PS2 and could hear the disk spin sound put after the PS2 sign came up the screen went blank... [crying] i tried reboot but no luck. thx. have agreat weekend.

 

Is the disc ok? I mean, are there scratches on the disc?

 

if you have a disc cleaner clean the disc, and try making the ps2 stand vertically, coz this seems like a common problem w/ ps2, i mean a friend of mine has to run his ps2 upside down just so the game would load ( no kidding ) mine has to be vertical to run VF disc like VF that are not in DVD format, try it out any of these options might work
