VF esports - Japan Matches w/ English Commentary

    After the local Round One no longer has cabs w/ VFes , Nammy and I gave in and got a PS4.

    We are streaming online matches vs players in Japan on Twich.

    Here is a fun clip from our most recent stream.
    Nammy (who hasn't played VF much at all for over a decade) is getting back into it but lost four matches in a row to a Lion player.

    We were hyped when I (who have been playing a lot more recently than he has) got matched up against the same Lion player and a chance for revenge!

    Hopefully, you guys are in an area of Japan with great internet infrastructure. You will have lots of fun! There is a lot of weekly online events throughout the week, leagues, single elimination tournament, and more. It will be neat to watch/see an English POV versus partial understanding of Japanese :)

    We are just outside of Tokyo, Internet works well here.
    Nammy was hyped to stream his first tourney today though after a minute or so he got error message like "Tournament couldn't be started" and he couldn't join.
    Now he is streaming ranked matches instead.

    Does that happen often, some error happens and you can't join a tournament?

    It happens enough that anyone that has played in these weekly tournaments will not be surprised if it happens to them.

    I looked at the archived twitch video and it looks like it was a small room. So at the last minute, the game's algorithm tried to moved everyone in the original room into other rooms to make larger brackets. Getting removed from the tournament error also happens during the 20 minute warm-up time before the finalizing step.

    It is also common while waiting in a room that you may be removed from a room and moved into another room multiple times. That is working as intended.
