Ver C Sarah changes

    I've got a chance to play the demo on 360 tomorrow, so I thought I'd put a summary of the changes made to our girl here. They're sort of spread out over the original "changes to ver C" thread.

    <ul>[*]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif combos on normal hit[*]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif easier to combo after hit
    Does it just create a higher float?[*]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif
    AFAIK, this was changed to a full circular attack, but otherwise stays the same. In any case, that makes it an even more useful flamingo entry move. Only -3 when blocked.[*]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif +5 on Hit and +8 on MC
    I haven't used this attack enough to tell the difference... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif[*]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif followup ground kick is guaranteed vs. everyone[*](flamingo)/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif +8 on hit and +11 on MC, on normal hit gives better advantage
    As Unsafe_Dan has commented elsewhere, this kick still doesn't work as well as in VF4. I would have prefered to be able to get control of the individual kicks again like in VF4. It has been improved, so I'll shut up now. =)[/list]If anyone has further comments after playing the demo, please add them here. Are there any other Sarah specific changes that I've missed?

    In VF4 it was, and IT SHOULD BE. It's the reason why Flamingo even works at high levels.

    The VF5 ver. C changes stated that MC Flamingo is +11 so you would figure VF would run off it's own rules and that kind of hit would guarantee Flamingo /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif.

    Again, this is the biggest blow to Sarah's Flamingo stance cause the very threat power to get people to freaking crouch or delay low punch just isn't there. Who cares if I eat MC Flamingo /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif cause it's not that much damage and the damage Sarah could eat if you successfully ducked or evaded it is enormous. Compare that with something like Lei Fei's stances or Kage's shippuinjin, and you see a serious gap in risk/reward.

    Where did you get those stated changes? Because it's wrong. I think they were from a dodgy bbs Japanese board. Did that Arcadia post have changes for Sarah?

    Those are the stats reno posted from reading the arcadia magazine. It's in the version C changes thread.

    Sarah Flamingo /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif
    +8 on hit
    +11 on MC

    It's been circulating for a while, and I don't know why if people have known it was wrong they didn't correct anything.

    I don't play Sarah, so I don't know these things. According to Shou, it's never been guaranteed either in 5. Maybe in Version C the adv is still +11 but if you cancel and press /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. There's some transition frames or something

    This is getting rediculess, Flamingo /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif exe in 9 frames. First the bs with Flamingo /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif not give +18 on MC thanks to blackbook error now Flamingo /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif giving "+11 on MC" is pointless. Why doesn't Sega just say, +8 on all hits instead of cock teasing us with this +18/+11 bs.

    Because Sega isn't giving out the frame info I believe. 1/60th used to all the frame testing back in VF4 days. I don't have a clue who does it know.
     
  11. haha maybe theyll correct that with the white book dvd.., or even thats the 'immoral' idea of the hit versus the true 'moral' idea of the hit. :p

    Ack, why havent I heard from this? I thought Sega releasing frame info is what set us apart from games like soul calibur.. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

    And how did they manage to get the +11 in the first place if somebody other than Sega did the testing, since anybody who knows anything can test by themselves that the number is wrong?
