I have euro ps2 and 5 years old tv. My tv only has composite inputs and everything works fine whit PAL ps2 games. When I get import game(ntsc or jap) colors are only in black and white. I bought converter and everything is ok whit only little worst picture becouse bad cables. I am looking in buying same high-end tv whit component inputs and I wonder will the picture be black and white whit pal ps2, euro tv,component cables and ntsc and jap games. I know everything is fine whit RGB but what about component? Currently only plasmas, front projectors and Toshibas tv´s have comp.inputs in Europe but hoppely Sony and others will follow.

I was told that RGB gives the best image. That's what the arcades use. So you might as well stick with that.

I might be wrong though, anybody care to confirm?

    I care

Oh and berserker with even a low end TV these days you get colour with NTSC if you use an RGB scart cable.

I dident see for myself but magazines for home theatre say component is the best, then RGB, then S-video and composite as worst.

No! I´m talking about EURO RGB, it comes via SCART, COMPONENT comes via Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr cables, it is not the same.
