Hey all. Just wondering if anyone out there lives in upstate new york. I'm in Rochester right now and would like to find some people to play, but right now it looks like the closeset competition is Canada. /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

Hey d00d, I live in Rochester. There are like no more arcades here!! I too am looking for competition, but I just recently got the game and haven't played it much yet, not enough time. I haven't seen a VF machine in Rochester since the original at Putt-putt, they don't even have Tekken 4! Damn the arcade situation sux here, and no more Time out at Marketplace mall, bummer.

 

I live right near Rochester....like 40 minutes away. And I belive I know a mall around there that would have a VF4 arcade machine.(I am not 100% sure they do....but most likely) And it doesn;t have to be at an arcade it could be at a hotel or a house...

 

Transportation is a problem for me as I don't have a car, so I won't be able to make it very far off campus. (I go to school at University of Rochester. If anyone is ever near campus feel free to stop on by) Getting off campus and going to Canada, however, would be a problem. /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

I do hear that RIT has a gaming night every Friday so I'm thinking of checking that out this week. From the people I've talked to who go there there arn't a lot of people who play Virtua Fighter though.

 

Hmmm, I go to RIT, but haven't really heard of the gaming night, I know the anime club has some gaming nights, but they play stuff like DDR, CvS2, Tekken, which is good, but I have yet to see a VF player in this area. Yea and the arcade at RIT sux, they have next to nothing, but they do have Tekken 4. Is there a arcade at UofR?

 

Yea, that's what I heard about the RIT gaming nights, CVS2 and the like. My brother has been talking to a dude there who wants to learn VF who goes there. He said that they had VF4 set up for some of their gaming nights, but I don't think anyone there is really into it.

As far as the UofR arcade goes, it makes your arcade look fantastic in comparison. The best we have is a TTT, a broken MvC2 (you can't even throw fireballs), and VF1 (also broken.)

Depending on if there is VF4 at this friday's gaming night or not my brother and I might head out there. Either way, if you (or anyone else) is ever by the UofR campus let me know.
