I know a lot of you play with your sticks in your lap (no homo). I've been playing that way since I purchased it. But one day I looked over and saw my piano stool and I thought "hmmm." I kid you not, I sit in a chair and place my stick on this stool in front of me and I swear it seems like exact cabinet hight in regards to my upper body. Not only that but the surface is vinyl so the feet actually stay put. I highly recommend this set-up for anyone looking for an authentic feel. The stool ran me like $7.

Has anyone found any alternate set-ups?

When I play with my arcade stick I like to place it on top of my wshing basket, it's the perfect height.

I don't play with my stick on my lap, it's way to big to be contained there comfortably. (no homo)

Yeah but we gotta keep that on the low low, an E-Pimp don't need that kind of heat, ya feel me?

It just sits there. The rubber feet on the bottom side seem to do a great job of sticking to the vinyl. Whenever I pick the stick up off the stool I can see indentations in the vinyl that assure me the feet haven't moved.

It's a great set-up that works wonderfully. And for $7, you can't go wrong.

That's the URL for the exact same product on Amazon. Unfortunately, they price a lot higher. I purchased mine at a variety store in Downtown Brooklyn for $10 less. I'm sure if anyone is interested they can always search around.

    I use Lap v.'86

At first I sat on the floor with my stick on a low table in front of me but while that was comfertable for my arms my legs would start to cramp horribly.
