Ryan Hart knocked down the Dynamic League by . . . . . . .

That's right ! If you look at the latest Dynamic League results you will see that "Reverie" gave "Ryan" a good beating as well as everyone else. He is new and deadly with Lion, Lei Fei and Pai. His style is fresh, fluid and unpredictable.
Special mention for "Hitman" who obviously has been doing some serious practice at home to have developed his Lei Fei so quickly.
March 22 is the last VF4e meeting of the first quarter 2003.

i can't believe it was the same person who i defeated a while back, this time i could'nt even get close! but still, rest assure, oda moudu and uk-guy was not in the scene... we'll see next time.

 

Yeah! Even I remember beating him back in the day. He was off the scene for a while, came back just above average and now he's savage! He can easily take down UK-Guy if he can beat Ryan 2-0.
The only person left who might be able to give him trouble is Dai. But I reckon Ryan may have got complacent that's why he got banged up so easy. I wonder how "Reverie" managed to improve so rapidly?

Hey DL, NO disrespecting UK-GUY either, just cos someone beats me a game or two doesn't mean that person could beat UK-GUY or anyone else in anyway otherwise that means that Zeng shouldn't have lost to anyone...but he did. So basically by disrespecting UK-GUY you also disrespect all the other UK players in the same way too, and actually not only the uk players but anyone in the world who has ever lost to me.
Just goes to show how much you know about VF.

Oh and Mr. DL, you better bring your digital camera on the 22nd to record some matches so you can show the people what really goes down at play to win.

Also it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring one that can actually record the matches clear enough to watch on the net, I think it would help. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

 

I think the main reason you lost straight away was cause there was no other evo machine to play on instead it u had to stick with the virtua striker stick for proactice.

 

Bad Manners

It is completely sad that someone wins that is out of the norm and all people can do is make excuses, instead of offering encouragement or congratulations to the winner. Then to top it off you say the player isn't very good, when they at the moment were better than you. <shrug> Play how you like I suppose. Just bad manners in my opinion.

Firstly, I didn't say he wasn't very good, he is very good, I just said he wasn't as good as DL made him out to be and secondly, what makes him better than me? Dynamic leagues results? Losing in Dynamic League doesn't mean you lost to a better player.

I don't think those are excuses at all... even if Ryan lost a couple of times it doesn't mean the other guy's a better player; only Mr. Dynamic League makes him look like such. Apparently his opinion is: if someone beats a well-known player, it's enough a reason to proclaim him The New, Better World Champ and call ALL his characters deadly and practically unbeatable.

no disrespect to you play, but i think alot of people really needed to warm up that day since zeng was already red hot when people arrived, since there is only one machine there now it's basically wait leik an hour for your turn, and have two credits to get to grips while getting bang up.. i have to say your akira is a monster, however you did'nt use it that day? it probably would have settled things right there and then..

This brings back old days when derrick would say something to piss off a bunch of people and get a ton of replies. It's refreshing to see that even people in the dynamic league are irritated by it too.

Derrick, why can't you settle for building someone up instead of tearing down guys like Ryan? It IS possible to write a post where you praise Reverie but DON'T insult whoever he beats. Ryan probably wouldn't have felt the need to go on the defensive with his now-edited post ... if you simply had refrained from attacking him.

Reverie was a scorcher on that night. His lion was painful to fight. But again, I shoulda came early and got a warm up on the machine and get used to the joystick and button layout cos it's just horrible. At home with my namco stick, I play much better.

But enough of that, I've seen reverie lots of times in P2W playing and he does well but fails to complete the match. But seeing him at this tourney, I thought he was a different person sinc eI was viewing the machine over ppls heads at first. Then I took a better look and saw it was him I. I was like sheesh!, how can this guy improve this much!

Then he went to beat Ryan's Kage. I was shocked!. Hey Ryan, why didn't u kick him off with ya Akira!!, u prbably woulda caught him up, points wise! cos ya Akira is a Demon man.

oh well, The 3rd bout will kinda be like a face off since both Ryan and Reverie have almost even wins. So it'll be interesting to see who wins the top prize money.

Hey DL, why haven't you put all the results together? How are we meant to know who is where? Where is Dai(Odu Modou) supposed to be? How come he isn't even on the ranking board? He came 2nd in one of the DL's. What happened to all the points I got in the other two DL's? PLEASE PUT ALL THE RESULTS TOGETHER!!! Thank you.

Hey guys sorry I haven't been down, my DVD project is nearing completion so I should have some stuff to show you all soon. I have to show stuff to publishers and stuff but we'll have a viewing soon.

I wouldn't take any notice of Derricks colourful banter, I remember when he used to 'comentate' on 'Gamesmaster', he didn't actually know anything about the games and I had to basically supply the script. Judging by some of his commentary lately (Ask Hyun /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif) he doesn't know too much about VF4 either.

If you think that is personal, no more than Derrick outputs on this board.

Consequently If people are serious about decent competitions set-up by gamers for gamers (think Beat-Tribe type tourneys for the UK and Europe, direct feed convertors for footage, decent website, watchable downloadable media, professionally edited tournament DVDs) and TRUE prizes offered by GENUINE sponsors (not a crumpled £20 note (approx $30?)) than watch this space
