I'm new to VF4, and I'm having trouble connecting Kage's Rising Knee (FC,f+k) after a TFT. I think I've only gotten it to hit once after many times of trying.

What is the trick to nailing the rising knee consistently after the TFT. I always make sure to hold down before pressing f+k, but it comes out to late, or another move comes instead. /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

I am not much of a Kage player, but I did spent a while practice forced crouch moves, and Kage's is an important one. What I did was I pressed [3][3_] meaning I held the second d,f then pressed K. If you just press down to do the kick, it will come out too late. Just work on the forced crouch ([3][3_]) and you will get it eventually, just practice! /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

So after doing the [3][3_], I should do the f+K? Can you do forced crouch moves by holding D/F or D/B instead of holding down?

Thats what the [3][3_] is for. You do a crouching forward dash, but if you do it fast, its as if you didnt crouch but it registers as a crouch. So you just press [3][3_] then [6]+[K]. Its easy once you get used to it. Just practice.

This post about a particular character's technique belongs in this board.

Anyway, LtTitan's advice is sound, but it is not necessary to hold the second down-forward [3_].

Input [3][3][6][K] for the fastest possible Knee from a standing position.

[3][3] and [1][1] are inputs for crouch dashing, which will make you crouch must faster than simply holding [2_]. Crouch dash inputs can be buffered in the recovery of other moves as well.

Cool, I got it now. I didn't know about the crouch dash thing. Thanks guys. /versus/images/icons/grin.gif
