1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. I looked for an answer for these questions but never really found them here. Is there a guide for reversal attacks? Like if both players are standing still and one player attacks with a High kick, what counters/interupts and beats that High kick before it hits? Is there a guide/thread that explains counters for high/mids/lows and the special nuances of certain players attacks? Thanks for your help....

If you look at the notes section for VF5 command lists of indivudal characters, there usually are information on the moves if they have reversal, inashi, or sabaki properties.

Example, in the Notes Column of oi's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif -

Sabaki (2-14) vs. HK, MK, SK, KN.

    General rules:

    Low attacks beat high attacks.
    Attacks that hit first win.
If attacks hit at exactly the same time, the stronger attack wins.

Unique attack properties change the rules:

Low punches lose to Special High attacks (although you can safely duck the Special High).
Some attacks duck under or go around other attacks. For instance, Akira's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif will go around a high punch.
Akira's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif will sabaki a standing high kick.

Study move lists for more information.

Also, if damage is the same and attacks hit at exactly the same time, you get a double hit (both players hit each other).
