I am looking for some info on this move or strategy even...

How often do you intentionally use it?

    How safe is it really?

Better to block or better to go neutral and guess for the high/mid?

...I know you can go neutral mid string and catch and punish many players, but on advanced levels, is this safe or a good choice? I am having a hard time really implementing this into my current style of play since I feel it could really open some unwanted entry points into my defense. But I have also played some Van and Jacky players that use their neutral capability's quite well. So any advice?

Better against certain characters than others. Generally more useful vs characters with a lot of punch pokes (Kage/Eileen/Goh) or one that overuses a particular move (Jacky 6P).

Obviously depends on your opponent too but trying it vs someone like Jeffry/Akira/Sarah is usually not a good idea.

Generic defense is safer, this is more rewarding (usually) when it works because of the otherwise mostly safe nature of moves it works against.

As far as actually implementing it goes, it's just a matter of practicing it since you have to overcome your natural instict to defend by pressing something.

tl;dr: Only use against the right characters and only if/when you're good at making the reads.

    Other advice in general:

Sabakis/Reversals/Inashis etc. have a higher success rate as finishers when the opponent is most likely to poke safely.

"when the opponent is most likely to poke safely", can you go into a bit more detail?

What he means is that once you reduce people to a low life-total, they're much more likely to stick to very safe attacks, such as 2P, 6P, and neutral P. In these instances, Sabaki's become a better option, because you have a higher likelihood of pushing aside your opponents "safe" attack and hitting them.

i like to use it on a string attack, beecause you can block the first hit and if the second or thrid hits are a punch you can just let go of guard and Pak Sao there ass. even if it is a fast charater like pai you can block the first punch and then let go of guard and the 2nd punch will be Pak Sao. but i try not to do it on the 3rd hit since she can change that to a kick then its a 50/50 shot. so if you know that the next hit has to be a move that can be PaoSao just let go guard durning the string of hits.

other wise i never try to guess if there first hit will be a punch or not its too much of a gamble. but it is easy to guess when all they can do is another puch or nothing after the first hit that you block, that my take on it. hope it helps out.

I usually end up busting it out from a failed guard.
What that means is I sucked and was too slow to push guard. LOL

Guys, generally just use it in sure handed situations. Honestly its very foolish to just stand there fishing for a single handed attack. Play your game and setup pak sao in those tight situations where you know your opponent is going to mid p or p.

Pak Sao is strong against fast p characters, and as a finisher. Any other time is just the player trying to be fancy.

Denkai, Glory, Krsjin etc are consistent jacky players. Consult them on further tactics if you see them on live. They're very amiable.
