How would a Ex2 modded with a sanwa stick and buttons compare to a VSHG modded for the 360?

Based on the effort needed to mod the EX 2 and the end result...

EX 2 doesn't even come close. Ask Unsafe_Dan - he's done the EX 2 mod. Actually...

lol I was actually talking quality wise, not about the effort behind the mod. I wont do it myself anyways. The reason I ask is because I allready have a Ex2, and i would need to buy a VSHG.

if you have neither, the vshg is the way to go since it already has sanwa parts in it that require no modding to fit and is already to arcade specification. (i think the layout is the same measurements as blast city panels used in sbo) to do this mod though you need to be able to hack an xbox360 pcb and cut a hole to fit headset slot(or no hole and use a wireless headset).

the way i mod ex2's you need to replace the shaft with the hori. doing this makes the spring more compact and has a bit more tension than the standard jlf. joystick height from top of the balltop to bottom of the faceplate is a bit closer as well but the same height as the standard ex2 height. modded ex2 needs no headset modification and you you have a lighted guide button that tells you what port you're on.

button wise for both is pretty much the same. the vshg's joystick is a tad bit closer to the buttons than the ex2. layout curve is the same.

either is better than the stock ex2 though. i've been alternating between both all week and both do the job fine.
