    Minor counter:

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Recovery Counter Hit

This occurs when an attack hits the opponent who is recovering from their own attack and is unable to guard. They also result in greater damage, but not as much as Counter Hits. Specifically, Recovery Counter Hits can occur when:

    1.
    the opponent's attack misses
    2.
the opponent's attack is guarded and takes a long time to recover

In the first case, when the opponent's attack misses you, they will be vulnerable (unable to guard) while they recover from the missed attack. During this time, if you're fast enough and within range, your attack is guaranteed to hit.

In the second case, when you guard an opponent's attack that leaves them at a disadvantage, they will be vulnerable as they recover. If this period of disadvantage is long enough then your attack is guaranteed to hit.

In fact, all Recovery Counter Hits are guaranteed hits.

Recovery Counter Hits will result in a white light effect reflecting on the opponent, the same as a Normal Hit.
    Counter Hit Type Damage Bonus
    Recovery Counter Hit 25%

Also known as a minor Counter (mC) Hit. In Japanese, this is known as a Kouka (koh-ka) Counter Hit, which translates to Recovery Counter Hit.

There's also MC. This means Major Counterhit. This occurs when an opponent attempts to attack but your move hits them first, OR you use a move with evasive properties (such as [2][P] - it goes under high attacks) during the startup of the opponents move OR your attacks hit on the same frame but your attack does more damage. (knows as frame trapping - an example would be when your opponent blocks [P] giving you a +2 advantage then you go for a 14f mid. If your opponent tries to do [2][P] which is a 12f move the +2 advantage you have makes your move faster/their move slower and they combine on the same frame. But because every 14f mid in the game does more damage than [2][P] you get a MC)

MC's get a damage boost on the attack which produces MC. It gives you more of a damage boost than mC. Also if you use a launcher a MC will make them float higher allowing for a more damaging combo (usually). If you land a strike which doesn't knock them down or stagger them on CH you get a better advantage than usual. An example would be [P]. When guarded it's +2, on hit it is +5 and on MC it is +8.

MC is often usually just called CH (counterhit).

I know this isn't info you asked for but mC and MC/CH are closely related and hopefully you learned at least something from reading this.
