Yo, this is DancingFighterG. Hey guys, Im thinking of picking up Pai as my other main next to Brad. I play the ps3 version so can people give me a quick breadown of the difference of Pai in ver B compared to C so I know what I cannot abuse or which games are better in ver C. I know that there is a thread somewhere that had this info but I can't find it.

Oh should have have went on years ago to answer your question! WR /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif stuns in PS3 while in the Xbox version you only get KD. So she's a little better in the PS3 ver. I also think her jabs are a little faster not sure about that it's been a while.

Whoops I didn't see that! I feel dumb! I just wanted to post something in the skimpy Pai threads.

I would prefer her stun as a she rises with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif over the knock back on the 360. It would give a decent stun move straight up but complaining won't do us any good now. Lets just the next version of the game makes her rising /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif a stun instead. That move is one reason I like her better on the PS3 over the 360.

I would say that Pai between ver B and C is much more different then you can find in a thread. I stopped playing her after I felt how she was in Ver C (she used to be my main) cause I only have a PS3 and didn't think there was any point to it. I also dislike how she feels now.

First of all the PK is now - on hit so you can't force any guessinggames after. You could do such fun things with PK earlier and it was basicly guaranteed in many situations (3k stagger hit etc). Of course you can go into stance after every PK but that's shit imo. OM P > PK etc was so much fun.

Also, the advantage going into stance is crap as compared to earlier. You can't really threathen with P from stance. In ver B you went in with +5 which was great, then you had BokuTai P (mid) to beat out elbows with and safe @17f now with +3 (ver C) that's not going to happen, you'll loose to all elbows. Basicly that nerfs her entire stance which you didn't want to go into ever in the first place in ver B most of the time.

Nerf of 9k+g kills of a safe nitaku making it counterable. Nerf of 2p+k+g to not gtd (basicly) a small down after. Nerf of her main throw for oki pressure. Nerf of 4_2 throw indirectly cause PK gets nerfed (that's what's gtd). More recovery time on main launcher 2_6p. I really hate the direction they're taking Pai from a poking / speed char into some sort of powerchar - hate the bouncecombos and such. WS K is nerfed (knockdown doesn't net as much damage as the stagger did in length, specially with a strong 10f punch) and just looks plain weird. I can't tell you how much more boring she is now due to the PK nerf. RN'ing with it (10f after all) used to be so much fun and so much flowcharts could come from it.

    R.I.P Pai.
