Much respect to your character choice...tired o all the newbs picking Lei, Aoi, Sarah...

 

What's wrong with those character choices ?

 

Is there anything cheap with El Blaze and Vanessa? I was looking at those two the most.

 

Both are pretty complicated. Both can be extremely flashy and cool to watch if played properly, but Vanessa also is pretty "mash anything ASAP" friendly if you take this approach. Same go for Pai, Sarah, Brad, Jacky and - especially - Lei Fei

Overall, you should realize 1 thing: "cheap" in VF can go only as far as your opponent let you to go, but not further. There are no "ultimate fuckup" techniques or so. But in this game, defense is extremely strong for fighting game, so ofensive techniques CAN be overcomed with proper defense.
If you let me, you will find my Wolf to be SUPEREXTREMELY cheap. But 1st, you need to let me to be.

You can consider cheap a lot of things and with all the characters, it doesn't matter go for what you like.

well in any case, for each character in the cast there is a translated guide written by a jp player who uses that character. they're great resources and you should run through them for any character you think you'd like to play. here is Vanessa's

Are you from the U.S. or E.U.? If your from the u.s. west coast, east coast, the south?

 

Taka is as cheap as they come, and easy to learn too. He's slow but has brutal damage potential. KA-POW!!!

 

except taka is in forced nitaku after most PK punishes ;D

 

wait im wrong, no he's not

still he's more often in forced nitaku.

 

Most of his moves are -5 or more on guard. He is quite good in putting himself in nitaku, he do not need YOU to do it for him

I'm from the US, but apparently i'm in the Midwest area where 3D fighters not Tekken can't be taken serious enough for tournaments.

 

I think we have some players in the Midwest. really NOTHING will be as productive as playing offline. where you situated?

 

Midwest is ok enough for shitty online, i'll try to add you to an account and run some games. I'm not online much on PS3/PSN so it'd be easier if you felt like playing if you either messaged me on here via pm, or just asked for games in shoutbox/chat.
