Lion's Movement options and their uses...

    I was wondering if anyone could tell me when they use Lion's special movement options ( /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ub.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif)

What attacks do these movements actually avoid?

When do you use them? What flows?

I feel like these movements allow you to play Lion very stylishly if you use them well. You can make Lion slip and dodge all over the place while peppering your opponent with attacks. I think Lion is an awesome character but I was just wondering how I can incorporate these movements into my game, even if it's only for style points...

There is no digital on/off for what these things evade, you simply have to test your way through.

    I meant, for example:

Will /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif avoid a high jab after the opponent blocks your high jab? Basically in this case, will it evade a standing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif from +2 frames?

I'm just wondering how you set up a situation where it will evade a specific attack and let you land the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif follow up, for example, for +12 frames advantage...

No this won't work stad P will recover you can hit, you'll go through but won't hit

No real need to do this move at advantage btw, this is an evasive move, better suited for small medium-disadvantage. It works better in closed stance ex:

    -vs Kage close stance only:
    elbow (blocked) , /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif toward Kage's back will go through his elbow.

    - vs Aoi close stance + same
in open go to her front iirc

I was messing around with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ub.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif last night in some player matches and it's a better move than I originally thought. It dodges fast and you can attack pretty quickly out of it. I also noticed that when I did it at all it would usually make my opponent freeze up and pause regardless of whether he was attacking or not.

If you use this dodge against strings it's just CASH $[/size]! I was evading Lei strings and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif-ing him in his soft under-belly for side crumples.

It wasn't great against single moves and is probably worse than a regular DM against a quick single strike like a jab /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d_.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif but I'm feeling like evading jabs is kinda sucky anyway, it's not really worth the effort/risk involved for little to no substantial advantage.

I also noticed that it could dodge throws if done from the right range. One time a throw did track my /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/db.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ub.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif but the animation was VERY weird and I almost evaded it like the others. If they are gonna land the throw they have to be really close and time it well or you will get out of the way.

One time I did it against a string and it worked almost like a successful OM would against a string where you suddenly dodge straight to their back. For example, I evaded the first hit of a string with it and I was instantly behind Lei for a back throw or back crumple. I did not expect this because the animation of the dodge actually moves to the side and backwards a little so I was surprised to have somehow moved forward and around to the back almost instantly.

If I did it and they didn't attack, there's no difference between a successful dodge and a failed one with that move so I could just attack out of it and keep pestering them. I was even using it in concert with the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif so I would dodge back and then slip forward into either the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif follow for a big advantage on hit (and +2f on block!) or the low /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif follow-up option which leaves you even on hit (nice!!!) so it's also very nasty. If they blocked the high /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif attack I would just go into /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and land it regularly as my opponent was probably expecting to have advantage after blocking it but didn't...

Lion has some very cool moves where the animations are exactly the same but the frame stats are pretty different. Therefore you can really confuse your opponent with the counter-intuitiveness of the same move having different frames depending on how you go into it... Lion is a cool-ass character to say the least!
