Yes, I guess I'll be the guy to take the time to write this out. =). Not to knock you or anything but read posting for dummies, this thread should really go under general. This is a Strat thread. Do you play Jacky?

btw, any idea of Lau being excluded in VF5? Read that he contracted some terminal disease/ is it possible that Sega introduce a new character with Lau's skills? Or Leifei b'comes his disciple? Mr Bungle, Creed, Ice-9 or any one?
If he 'disappear' in VF5, that would be saddening for all the Lau fans (include me)...("..)

 

Having said that, many people may notice that, in VF4, Lau is the least-upgrade chracter (at least in the term of new moves). He is very much the same as he was in vf3, though he is still very strong. Sega has almost completely stopped to develop him for some reasons. With this reason alone, I think we're unlikely to see him in vf5.

But, hey, changing of character may bring us new decent storyline. Say, at least, Pai's reason to join the next tournament is certainly not to chat up with her dad anymore.

 

Yeah... Hope that Lei doesn't take over Lau... Can'y imagine a monk doing Lifting palms!!! Regarding the VF3 (Lau) upgrading, you're rite... Veri few new moves added...

btw, Lau's d/f,d/f+P,..... (rushing palm,P,P,P,d+K) really lifts fallen opponents for additional damage... Any combo idea?

Um... that's kinda silly, if you ask me. The most important thing in playing a fighter should be finding a character whose abilities you find interesting to play with. If the character has cool looks/personality, that's just an added bonus.
But you shouldn't restrict yourself to just one sex for any reason - try some of the male charas and you might find them fun.

 

Just because I use Lion and Lei it does not imply that I am:

2- Confused
3- Not faster than lightning

And I seem to remember something about Dural was Kage's mother?
Or was this only in the VF anime?

Dural and Kage.

The Dural from Virtua Fighter one to two is Kage's Mother. She's brought back to her senses at the end of two but, she suffered some withdrawal symptoms from the Dural skin and became very sick.

Finding a cure for his mother by extracting some material from the new Dural (It's not mentioned if the new Dural was a person or entirely artificial in Virtua Fighter 3 though, there's an early CG video which depicted it as a T1000 cyborg type creature.) is Kage's reason for participating in Virtua Fighter 3.

Kage wins the third tournament and was also successful in retrieving materials from the latest Dural which he then applied to his ill mother. Unfortunately, the medicine had a negative outcome. Though his mother's health was restored she turned back into Dural. Back to her old self she then attacks Kage and escapes back to J6. Kage, believing that his mother is beyond redemption decides to return to Virtua Fighter 4 to kill Dural and lay his mother to rest.
