Is Virtua Fighter popular game in Korean arcade???

I see Korean players taking 2nd and 3rd place on WCG, but is there VF scene in Korea like Japan?

 

No. Unfortunately it's not available in arcades outside of Japan so nobody will ever know. Korea is pretty much Tekken country. I assume there is some small scene that plays though.

Haven't read that interview before but it's interesting that he rates VF5 as his favourite in the series but describes his style as stepping and technique. I thought VF4 had a faster and deeper stepping system than 5 although there I suppose there were more restrictions in 4. I have been impressed with ShinZ's stepping in the matches I've seen, especially in VF4:Evo.

It's funny that he said no more Tekken please. He is a major Tekken player in Korea as well isn't he?
