Is it still worth getting a stick?

I am still a pad user, thinking on getting a stick, but since PS3 is out, I wounder if my PS2 stick can be use on the PS3 also.

And since some say there is going to be VF5 on PS3, might as well wait? Or is it still worth getting a stick now?

 

Well, PS3 has been announced. It's not out, yet. VF5 has been speculated after seeing the demo at E3. No concrete evidence it will come out or when. If it does arrive in arcades, there will probably be a wait for a console release.

I'm guessing you have at least a year to play Evo on the PS2. My recommendation is to find and buy a Hori brand stick and have some fun.

 

They are usually fairly expensive here in England, reguardless which bard of the sticks, most of all, I dont want to have another object being placed near the TV, or just laying around the house.

Addition to that, within this year, I might be into another game if you know what I mean.

But I will look into it though.

 

Even with the PS3, your equipment should still be compatible if you were to buy a PS2 based controller. There are PS2 to PC/Xbox/GC adapters of many shapes and sizes. I personally use one to play my friends arcade games online. It will only be a matter of time before a adapter is made. Word is that the ps3 will use usb ports, which means that many ps2-2-usb adapters should work just fine.

Once you find a good arcade stick, don't give it up without a fight.
