    I love the idea and the concept of mapping out member, arcade and event locations.

    But I don't like that it's on a separate site, which means you need to create another account there in order to use it, and so won't be "integrated" with vfdc.

    Anyway, I've created a map here:

    New Frappr features

    Frappr has finally added custom pins so I've assigned custom colours for People, and Arcades.

    I have the ability to add 3 more pin colours, so if anyone has a reasonable suggestion for them, let me know.

    Otherwise, you can edit your pin colour to the new scheme, especially for people who added arcades.

    the third colour should be reserved for Arcade/gathering "Hot Spots". "this is where you want to go if you want good VF action".

    Or Canadians. That way we would stand out online as we do in Real Life.

    GE, that's what "Arcades" is for /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

    PD, I don't think tournaments would work because they're not persistent locations. However, a good idea for would-be tourney organisers is to provide a link to the venue/location on Frappr when the announcing post is made.

    just to add clarification. marking the location of an arcade with the most recent VF doesn't mean you've got a place worth visiting. With VF5 coming and recently announced changes to the NA market I think the difference between a VF equipped arcade and a place worthy of travel will be huge.

    Jamboree highights those differences but so much of it becomes noise you'd have to dive in for a bit to get the idea if you're new. A marker that shows proven locations for top competition (this could include areas without an arcade scene but a healthy console scene) as opposed to a general list wouldn't be a bad idea in my opinion.

    I've officially cracked the shits with the frappr. Fucking thing.

    Everyone please update their pin colour to either a Person or Place. The default colour is not part of the custom colour set, and I can only choose to use one or the other.

    You'll notice I've changed "Arcades" into the more politically correct "Places" to denote a location where people may gather to play Virtua Fighter.
