Ok, from reading around I see that the original vf1 stages and models are in here, do you earn the stages in quest mode with those characters??
If so this is gonna take ages to get them all isn't it??

well...if you want to use the old models and stages in Quest Mode or in VS Mode for your character, then you do have to unlock it.

However there's a 10th Anniversery mode (unlocked from the beginning) that lets you play as all the characters in VF1 style arenas with VF1 style graphics. But, the rules are also VF1 style, and the game is a lot harder/different because of this.

In order to use the VF1 style characters and stages with VFEvo style gameplay, you do need to unlock them in Quest mode.
