How to turn off the mic icon with a wire stick?

The thing is that, I am not able to use wireless headset when I plug in my modded stick. My wireless headset always finds 2P,3P, or 4P instead.

When I create a party, I can see there is a icon near by my tag, so I assume my stick has already activated the mic function even without plugging a wire headset.

Can anyone tell me how to fix it?
    Thanks~~

I had a custom that would do this too. I unplugged whatever was in the mic jack on the PCB inside and it seemed to stop.

    hey Emx,
I've also checked the PCB and there is nothing plugged in the mic jack. Do you mean I need to get rid of the entire jack from PCB? Thanks.

Nah. That sounds strange. Shoryuken has a good tech talk section that you might be able to search. The posters there are helpful as well.

I don't really know anything about the circuit boards other than how to solder to them.

What type of headset do you have Dennis? What kind of joystick are you using?

I had that same headset, it stopped working for me well over a year ago. [IMG]

Dennis, try turning on the X360 without a controller plugged or synch to it. Then try to set the wireless to 1p and see what happens.

That wireless headset is not comfortable for long time wearing, don't feel bad it's not working. [IMG]

I have tried what you said before, and it turns out the wireless headset can recognize 1P. However, after I plug my stick into the usb port, the wireless headset will automatically switch to 2P. That's why I'm convinced my stick always turns on the mic function no matter what.
