How to Change Sub Costume?

The sub costume is always Type B. Can that be changed anywhere? I know I can customize the Main Costume (to any Type) in Customize, but that's about it. Any other method? I'd really want to get rid of Type B entirely.

Each customisation is one costume as far as I can tell. Make another custom with the same character and change the costume. Sub costume isn't important now as you can have 1P and 2P in the same constume with no bother now as long as they're customs.

Good to know. The short time I test it, I guess I had the same exact outfit customization on both characters (which then they forced one player to a non personalized costume.

So I can't switch between A and D on the character select screen?

Yeah, you can. On the Xbox, you just hit X to bring up your list of customized outfits for the character you have highlighted.

Whatever the button is for PSN, it should be/say right there on the character select screen, just above the top row of characters. One option is to set up your controls, the other is to pick your outfit.

The X button on the Xbox 360 normally functions as the 'square' button on the PS3 for the same game.

You can no longer assign costumes to profiles.

At select screen you have default choices costume A or B (hold start).

If a profile was created for a character you may choose it by hitting Square on PS3 or X on X360. Each profile is for one costume only.

I think you can create up to 150 total profiles varying with the cast.

At first, I felt that the whole one-costume-per-customized character was a bit of a downgrade, but since you can name them the same thing and make more than one for each character, I guess it doesn't matter.

There's another really peculiar issue with customisations. It was stressed before that one's customizations were "attached" in a sense to your Gamertag. In Vanilla 5, a second player could load his personal character data and fight the main player who started the session. We're talking domestic multiplayer, here.

So, I spent a considerable amount of time yesterday making customizations for many of the characters, but I was sure not to make El Blaze, Lau or Lei-Fei, as those are my roommates' characters. Saburo (Blaze player) gets home and starts up the game. First thing he does is customize his Blaze. We immediately get to fighting, but we soon realise that as the second player, I couldn't load my Kage, or really anyone. It seems like a really crappy thing to leave out, especially when the online Vs. was so improved. Just feels like couch multiplayer was tossed by the wayside a bit, at least to me.

I did some testing, and apparently if the second controller has also signed in using some other xbl account (doesnt have to be gold), both of them can use the customizations of the account you started the game with.

So just make a second free xbl account and both controllers can use the customizations.

No, I got that. That's what I meant. For example, if you were the second player on my system, you'd be forced to custom data, rather than getting to use your own. But now that I know that, I can remake my roommates' customs in my game. It's just a really bizarre limitation, is all.
