How do I rank up Kumite?

I've been stuck on 3rd Dan for about 175 matches. I'm playing the U.S. Version of Virtua Fighter. Thanks.

 

First off to answer your question u have to face about 5 3rd dan people (your same rank) and beat them, whatever u do dont LOSE to them it's as simple as that.

For the second thing if i was u i wouldnt even bother to start ranking up in vf4 because virtua fighter 4 evo is out soon in the states and your gonna have to start again.
