Help with Lei Fei !

i am currently 2nd dan and i need help on a major problem. every time i face a jacky 4th dan or better, i get the crap knocked out of me.

i was wondering if i could get some help on some good combos to use against the jacky's. i need something to help with the lack of speed lei has compared to the faster characters (i.e Jacky)

abuse lp throw and + =). You'll get him. And lei_fei isn't slow. later.

 

well i know he's not slow, ....he's just not as fast as a few of the other characters.

Abusing will get you so far and then it will get you slaughtered. Just learn how many hits are in his combos- the cpu is painfully predictable. Many moves leave Jacky open for throws, and as long as you vary them the cpu won't escape, epec. at 5dan. Experiment with strings in Free mode- I'm no Lei player, but after Jacky misses his kickflip and flies upward, you can do 120+ damage combos with Lei.

 

Tiger stance back stagger combo for 95% dmg. Rinse and repeat until you reach Emperor.

A lot of the CPU Jacky offense involves moves that start with , making him seem faster than he is (although he is fast). I got floored a few times before realising you can often catch him out with the IN stance auto reversal. This should work a bit, but obviously don't over-abuse as the CPU will learn. Read ken's dojo - it'll give you alot more ideas on how to improve your game.

then +, and +

How to kill all the Jacky's Out there...

1. Always do + when he's rising
2. Mix up your moves, like ++ and ++
3. Jacky's don't seem to care if you dodge or not, so dodge!
4. There is no rule #4 /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif
