Hi all. I'm having a really annoying issue in VF5FS on X360 in that I can't find any games online. Rarely do I come across another player in the player list in Ranked Match mode. I've already set up my router to have my X360's IP address as a DMZ and connection tests in the dashboard show clear settings for net connectivity, no NAT Strict errors, everything is fine there. Also, in FS, I didn't get any NAT restriction errors so I'm really confused as to what is the issue. Anyone know how I can solve this problem? Or is it just that FS has a very small community now? :(

Lol my guess is your connection is perfectly fine. Unfortunately the FS community is small right now I don't know when you picked up the game but it definitely started to die down the past couple of weeks. However I am always up for some matches rather it be in ranked, player, or room matches feel free to add me if u want, & Joseph holds weekly room gatherings on Fridays so thats always a option, & dont forget the VF Circuit tournaments thats always an option as well :)

All the players are at ranked, and you probably need to set the area filter to Worldwide. Easier is just to friend list people from here and play player/room with them.

YOu have to go to ranked.

I usually just like to lurk and fight anonymous strangers, but with this game you have to get all social about it to find anyone  . There's lists of gamer tags under the xbl forum depending on west coast.. etc. Fill up your friends list with fellow VFDC nerds, and you'll never be without some kind of human competition.

    Yea, man...

VF is once again being shunned by the general online community at large.
Shame really, but it is what it is.
As mentioned in countless other threads before, it is probably due to the bare bones single player and partly because noobs simply can't come to grips with the game quick enough to deal with vets....and also, it COULD be that certain 'vets' aren't particularly noob friendly to begin with.

Aside from holding hands, this forum is pretty much noob friendly as you can get. The Dojo and character sub forums are for that, and if something isn't listed, they should ask. No excuses.

All the vets I have ran in to, have helped my game A LOT. When I asked them questions, they were ALWAYS willing to help me, and train me. I owe a lot of it to Bloodstyle, for greeting me to Phanatik, Rare, Jami, and so forth and so on (Those are the ones I play with usually bases). Whenever I asked something, or did something wrong, they would tell me what, how to fix it, how to improve. And if I had a question about how to escape their moves, or guard it, they would tell me instantly, and even let me practice with them. VF is one of THE best communities for noob friendly players, trying to pick up a good fighting game.

They key is to add people (onto your friends list) on good conns who you enjoy playing with, then just set rooms up, if there's no one around in ranked you want to fight. Bear in mind it is time zone specific how busy it gets, and could also be dependent on how good your gaming line is, and how far it will stretch. You won't just jump on this game and find the public lobbies full of players to pick, like in the Capcom games, but if you're patient, there are people about.
I play it heavily across all 3 options (Ranked, Player & Room), and still see new faces each day.
The game was even on sale not long ago, so there's plenty of people out there who have it, but obviously timing of the release was not ideal, with TTT2 and DOA5 coming out soon after. SCV was out not that long before FS as well, and these all suck players away from VF, even though they might go back to it eventually.
Finally, don't forget you can use the 'Shoutbox' real time chat embedded on VFDC to arrange bouts with available players :)
