Goh has some obviously good ground grabs but the problem is most combos that go into them are hardly guaranteed. What I'm wondering is, in Version C, which are guaranteed or not or how you can check them.

Ground grabs in Virtua Fighter 5 are not guaranteed. You can either go for /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif, and your opponent has a 50% chance of escaping this, by inputting the same commands.

I think what he meant was: Which combos lead to a guaranteed ground throw. Well, There is always a possibility of someone doing an exact quick roll, but you can use /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif in a combo to beat the opponent to the ground and then TRY to go for a ground throw, but they can still get up if they mash the buttons well /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif However Goh in VF5 has some pretty decent combos, and you don't need to use as many ground grabs to do some good damage.

What I propose instead is to use grabs in situations, where your opponent hits the wall at the end of a combo, or if you manage to force them not to get up, i.e. when you constantly attack them when they are rolling, so they decide not to get up.

on combos there's no ground grab guaranteed. you can ground grab after 66 P+G ,33 P ,4 6+P(after a while on cr).but as Griever said you ve got a 50/50 throw escape possible and get hit if the opponent struggles well(ie 360 + mash buttons(one must be careful with K for not doing the kick rising)

When opponent has no other option but to use throw escape, then the situation is generally referred to as 'guaranteed throw'. (Its more like guaranteed throw opportunity) for example -12 situation in standing. Similarly there are situations where ground throw is guaranteed using this term, but Im not sure which are Goh's best ones. If you use f+P+K from a floatcombo then opponent can techroll the slamdown if it is exact. If they don,t the ground throw opportunity is guaranteed if im not mistaken.

HOWEVER, ground throws are never referred to as part of a combo because it can be escaped.

No you have to pick the one you think your opponent will do, there's usually only two choices so it's a 50 - 50 guess. Apart from Aoi, she has three ground throws so just mash like crazy against her /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
