So goh's small down attack is 3k. Also his combo is 3kp. This leads to a bug where you are in position to stomp the opponent but 3k(mid attack not stomp) comes out instead. Has anyone else noticed this? Or does it just have super fine timing? I really feel like i give up free attacks once every 4 matches or so from this bug (?). It feels very inconsistent and i haven't been able to pare it down to a timing issue. Do other characters have the same issue?

Not a bug, your opponent just wasn't considered in a grounded state by the game for the down attack to happen. Quite common.

I fall into this trap a lot and eat combos and other BS because of that. What's worse, his large pounce is so easily avoidable and for some reason, people can somehow guard it easier on standing than others (say akira for instance) where you are in full standing position and end up back on ground because of shady hit detection.

Trust me, I know your pain, it's just something goh players must deal with. Only go for 3k stomp when garanteed (i.e. after 336p+g). It'll save you lots of heartache.
