general sideturn need-to-knows?

Help /vfdc/, I want to maximize my options against sideturned opponents.

    1) In the dojo, I set the AI to guard all then I realized I can keep jabbing him (P,G repeatedly) and he can't realign himself. Could someone please elaborate on how I can take advantage of this tactic? Ways on how to keep him sideturned? What are the opponent's best options to realign himself

    2) leifei does a guardbreak on an opponents side to get +15 then suddenly he fucking guarantees 9+K which is 16 frames. How?

    3) Assuming that a guy sidesteps 9 out of 10 times as a reaction to getting sideturned, what what do you suggest as soon as you get him sideturned? Any character examples are fine, I can relate.

    4) Followup to #3, could the guy input a throw escape while he's sidestepping? What is this throw escape counted as? to escape the sidethrow? or are you automatically realigned so you're now vulnerable to standard throws like P+G?

    1) If he's continuing to guard use something that beats guard which takes me to...

    2) If a character is sideturned if FS you can hit them with a mid attack that is 3 frames higher than what the disadvantage shows. If you land a sidekick sideturned you get +11. At +11 you are guaranteed 14 frame mids. For example Jean gets guaranteed 6PP here and Jacky gets 6PP as well. If Lei has +15 he should get an 18f mid guaranteed at most.

    3) Jean can use his high half circulars (4P,P and 9K,P) and if he catches you evading and gets a CH you're either eating 50% or 75%. Sideturned he can fully charge his followups on CH and they are uninterruptible while you stay sideturned. It's 50/50 but 1 of 3 things can happen. You guard in which case you lose to Jeans fully charged followup into unblockable KK (You're still sideturned : D). You attack in which case you will be CH by the fully charged Jean attack and you are launched into combo. Or you evade and if Jean predicts this he can cancel the charged attack into K which is circular. If this CH's he gets backturned 66P > 6K(CH) into max damage which does like 75%.

    4) Yes, he can tech throws while evading. It's sidethrow escape unless you delay the throw enough for him to realign. You can trick your opponent into escaping the wrong throw in this situation. Say he has to escape sidethrow using 6P+G, then you wait and use 4P+G.

    Sorry for the late reply.

Time to make a lau thread.

Thanks for the elaboration. Makes perfect sense because I had to use jean for a while to teach a bro here. I currently use lau and aoi and for both of them, my braindead gameplan against sideturned opponents is to do standing p for the +4 then spam throw or get a CH 3k. And I thought generic 4ps were useless.

Oh, I think I get it now. To confirm, characters on a certain frame DURING the sidestep and NOT before or after?
